December 13, 200718 yr I will be SHOCKED if Albert Pujols isn't named in the Mitchell Report. Flat out shocked. Here's a few names that I think have a good chance at being on the list. Nomar Garciapara Steve Finley Matt Morris Danny Graves Chris Carpenter Luis Gonzales Ryan Dempster Aaron Boone
December 13, 200718 yr Don't know how far back this goes, but if Brady Anderson isn't on the list, someone missed the boat.

I'm pretty anxious to hear those names.

December 13, 200718 yr My other potential head-scratcher...work with me here: * All accounts were Kerry Wood was going to sign an $8 million deal with BoSox to be Papelbon's set-up man. * Sen. George Mitchell has a share of ownership with said BoSox. * Kerry Wood re-signs for $5 million with Cubbies. I won't be surprised to see Kerry Wood's name in the report and then some accusations raised because Mitchell (being paid 10's of millions of dollars for this) swore nothing would leak out to his Red Sox partners. Just a theory... Disclaimers: Do NOT "mark it down." No one at any bank gave me any piece of this theory. Neither Sen. George Mitchell, nor Kerry Wood, have ever worn a head-band (to my recollection). The Mitchell Report has to do with steroid use...
December 13, 200718 yr The Mitchell Report has to do with steroid use...   Freaking laughing out loud (literally) at my desk. Standing ovation...
December 13, 200718 yr The Mitchell Report has to do with steroid use... I'm confused as to what point you're trying to make here.

December 13, 200718 yr I'm confused as to what point you're trying to make here. Think Cal Berkley / foliage / YouTube. :sssh:
December 13, 200718 yr I'm confused as to what point you're trying to make here. I'm just saying, any name on the Mitchell report is going to be guilty of using steroids...IMO. I'm getting the hang of this...
December 13, 200718 yr In all seriousness, I'm having a tough time with today and the Mitchell report. I know I'm going to have to break allegiances with some guys I've loved to watch over the years. And if you know me, you know how hard that's going to be. That really is making me queazy... Sad day for baseball...
December 13, 200718 yr Sad day for baseball... Agreed. I wonder how much "proof" Sen. Mitchell insisted on before including a name and basically permanently smearing their name for the remainder of their career? I assume simple hearsay wasn't enough.

I assume simple hearsay wasn't enough. I'm sure that will come out when some of these guys deny, deny, deny and sue him for slander. (Or whatever the legal term is) Then again, if they don't deny...we'll know he had a LOT of "proof" against them...
