Even Newport Central Catholic coach Bob Schneider, who hinted he was retiring after 47 years as head coach, recognized what the 2A state title would mean to Fort Campbell.

 

"Something in me says, 'What a great thing for Fort Campbell,'" Schneider said. "After what they go through on a daily basis, and to have that shown over there (Iraq) and their kids winning, it gives me a little chill right now just thinking of those folks, seeing their kids win a state championship; to take their mind of it for a little bit. "I hate to lose, but that situation is a great thing."

The us vs. everyone else mentality provides entertainment to some of us joe. Don't discourage them:D. However, in the "us vs. the world" realm of thinking, Louisville won the battle this weekend since Louisville represents a single town and not a generic collection of counties.
