February 28, 200818 yr I am interested to see how this will play out as I just dont see Georgetown losing this game. I mean they are stacked with Quin Richardson, Portwood, Monroe, McFarland and now rumors of Gover coming aboard. If you are at this game someone keep track of how many swats McFarland has because I gurantee it will be atleast 5 or 6. However, there may be some matchup problems at the 3 and 4 spots as the Wolfpack have some athletic forwards in McClendon and McGovney. Who will run the show for the Wolfpack out front? Watch for Lincoln County to be right there in the finals also, although they are missing some of their team to baseball (but not starters). They played in the final four at the state tournament, and two of their players were all tournament team. They have an excellent point guard, Cummins, a huge kid in the middle who can flat out rebound and score, Hill, and another big kid inside with great hands, Luster, not to mention the other two scorers, Burchfield and Jacobs. I look for them to be major contenders on Sunday!:jump::jump:

I haven't seen all 8 of the other teams play recently (so you never know with player movement), but these four mentioned above could very well be the semifinalist. I didn't get a chance to see Lincoln County play in state, but you have to be impressed with them making the Final 4. And, the Louisville Storm have made a couple of additions this year and I like their team. The other 2 have already been mentioned in previous posts. One thing for sure, by no means is tomorrow night's Wolfpack vs. Thunder game a definite preview of the finals. In youth basketball, there is only one guarantee -- there are NO guarantees.

February 28, 200818 yr Pool C looks a little brutal...:eek: Agreed. But, everybody advances to Sunday, so pool play is kind of irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. If everybody didn't advance, you definitely wouldn't want your "perceived" top 4 teams in the same pool.

Well he may be able to do those things well but I think he is better suited in a different slot. His ability to penetrate the lane off the wing is his strongest suit IMO. He is a very good passer and is tall so I can see where they may want to use him there. I havent seen him play much in the past year or so and only going off of what I saw of him as a 5th and 6th grader. I think every kid should learn how to run the point, big or small. Good luck down there this weekend. The Wolfpack definitely are going to be playing some tough competition.
