Ahhh, we live in the ESPN generation where they can be everywhere all the time. And the question was about the preview I thought, and I agree with LRCW that I think their preview is tops. I always look forward to both the football and basketball previews. The only 2 issues I actually buy.

I hate to defend the ADI. However, what school does the majority of their subscribers support?

 

I would say most of the 15 subscribers live in the City of Ashland limits.:lol:

Some things dont change. My biggest problem with the Daily Independent is NO involvement in the Youth leagues.

My guess on the cover would be a split with Rose Hill and Elliott. Something along the lines of the little schools verses the larger. That is what I would do. It would be cool to see Rick May and Tim Fraley in boat, with something like "Little fish in a big Pond".. They had Marv Meredith in a boat back in the '80s...

It's in every 16th Region thread, and no school is untainted by it.

 

Maybe if we could stand up and beat some decent teams outside of the region more consistently, we could quit spitting venom at each other...

The ADI will be like it is every year. A couple tomcat players and and a few players from the number one team in the region.

 

Hey BCSTORM (or anyone else) is Selby playing this year ? At one time during football season I heard he was not. Anyone heard anything about him ? Huge loss for the lions if he's not on the court.

It may be the lack of sleep but my brain isn't registering things very well right now. So is he with the team practicing ? Not playing ? Whats the deal with the big kid.

Seems we've left the path, in this one. Let's get back to discussing 16th Region Previews and the teams, that the ADI is releasing.....:thumb:

Lets just say from what I know that the ADI will be putting a preview out tomorrow and Selby will be listed on the BC roster....Dont believe everything you hear...Things will be fine, which I am sure will be reported by ADI.

This takes me back to football season, Raceland played Nicholas at home for the number 2 seed in the state playoffs, no one from the ADI covered the game.

What was so compelling about Raceland and Nicholas County that warranted extensive coverage?

 

Also, that was the same night Russell played Mason County and Fairview hosted Lexington Christian ... and wasn't Ashland playing Bryan Station for a playoff spot?

I have two suggestions for you.

 

1. Dont read it.

2. Develop your own newspaper. Get subscribers, advertisers, and then publish a completely unbiased basketball preview.
