I do believe that the ADI does have the word Ashland in the name of the paper.

 

Sorry Ms. Liberty, but, go look at your paper, it says plainly..."The Independent" in huge letters then in smaller letters under that it says "www.dailyindependent.com" then in even smaller letters under that it says Ashland, Ky and the date.

You know I looked at it again and I just don't know. It just seems to be of lesser quality. Maybe its the format or the print, I don't know. But I thought the last few years it just seems like they keep cutting it back. It used to be 3-4 pages on every team. Now it is 1-2.

Maybe they should move their offices and printing press to Cannonsburg or Catlettsburg then you would get more coverage.

Maybe more pictures of individual players, possibly a write up on several of the top players in the region. It wasn't a bad preview, but it did seem kind of small compared to years past.

Seems like there is alot of people unhappy with Ashland getting more headlines than anyone esle. But I have the paper right here and there is 2 Rose Hill players on the front page aswell as 2 players from Elliott. Can you believe this ????

 

On the 3rd page that same Rose Hill player is on there...OMG

 

After looking through the whole paper there seems to be a 2 page write up on every local team and a 1 page one for the outlaying teams.

 

But all this talk about kids in different pictures is crazy.

I agree. I think the Football and Basketball preview, although still better than most other previews that are out there, have gotten less in depth than in the past.

This takes me back to football season, Raceland played Nicholas at home for the number 2 seed in the state playoffs, no one from the ADI covered the game.

 

What other games were going on that night?
