I'll also take the college play review system over the NFL review system anyday. I think the NCAA is trying to get the call right. It's not perfect, but it's 100 time better.

I love most of this setup, except that I would start the posession from the 50.

 

 

I was gonna say the 40. Way too many TDs in the current setup; and this moves it past FG range in the event that the defense does its job and creates a 3-and-out. I don't like seeing (on the rare occasion that it DOES happen) the offense getting rewarded with a real makeable FG when the defense allows NO yards.

My exact theory.

After watching LSU and Ark and UK and UT Today..I have come dislike the OT system in College Football. I know Im a UK fan and they lost, but I don't like the idea of the OT set up. I think they should go with what the NFL has in place. The first team to score wins. Many players in the LSU and ARK game get hurt and beat up.

You CAN'T be serious. NFL OT is determined by who gets ball first, it is cheap and takes the game out of the players hands.

I despise both formats. I think both teams should at least have the ball on offense one time. Also, placekickers and punters should not be allowed on the field in OT.

And if they both score equally?

I love watching college football OT's. They are great, how could you not like it?

I don't think they should let the QBs play in OT. They should just make them direct snap every down. That way, whoever has the best line will win.

I really like the college O.T. system as it is right now.

Overtime should be set up to determine a winner in as fair and fast way as possible. Flip a coin and sudden death rules apply. It's fair for the offense and the defense. 5, 6, or 7 OT's is not the way. I think it is an admission of not being a good set up when they start making you go for two after the second OT.

I agree with RP and mcpapa...Move the starting position back to either the 40 or 50, and I think the system is fine.

WOW, I disagree 100%, both teams HAVE TO HAVE a shot, IMO.

NFL overtime is the worst thing in sports besides the BCS. College OT is almost perfect but I would start them from the 35.
