Seen them both play, Belfry big. If Corbin puts pressure on the QB like Belfry can against somerset it gets ugly. Belfry probably won't miss many tackles. Oh and Belfry fans get ready for the home officials.

1st, not a good thing to say about Somerset. DO NOT try to deminish what these kids have accomplished this year by enferring they get favorable officials at home. I take it from your name you're a Corbin fan, so you should be the LAST one to mention home field refs.

2nd, the officials from this game will not be from this area, they will be from somewhere else, as is the case in all playoff games.

I am a huge Pulaski Maroon fan, but those kids across town have accomplished alot this year & deserve better than those comments.

I don't think SHS will win, but I hope they make it a close game. Good luck Jumpers.

Somerset seems to be healthy and have great skilled position players, their run defense seems suspect but I am sure that they will be ready to play. I heard that Belfry is going to Somerset Thursday night instead of making that trip on Friday. It sounds like a great idea. Rock's done and I need the Jumpers to move on.:flame:

Maybe you are thinking about their game two weeks from now. ;)

Seriously, they will travel on Friday. :thumb:

Hey there True, They use out of region officials for playoffs.

I think I'm more excited about the game than Thanksgiving. :D

Does anyone have a Belfry roster with numbers, names, height weight and class? If not what are May's and Lee's number, height and weight? Thanks, have a Happy Thanksgiving and a safe trip.

Don't have a roster, but I can give you a good guesstimate on Lee and May.

May will be #20, he is 6'2 220, and looks every bit of it. May is a Senior.

Lee is #2, he is listed at 5'11 250 or so, but he actually is more like 6'1. Lee is a Junior.

Other notable players for Belfry and their numbers (I aplogize for not knowing off hand Ryan Blackburn, Chancey Cisco, and Glenn Earnest's numbers):

#2 JR HB/DE Ivan Lee

#3 JR DT/TE Cory Coleman

#4 SR SE/CB Ryan Preston

#5 JR QB/CB Andrew Elkins

#7 SO HB/CB/KR Timmy Lovern

#8 SR HB/DT Phillip Hickman

#9 SO HB/S/KR/P Thomas Varney

#20 SR FB/LB Dustin May

#22 SR TE/DE Adam Bowens

#28 JR LB/FB Charlie Dotson

#51 JR NG/OT Randy Webb

#54 JR G Casey Whetstone

#? SO C/NG Chancey Cisco

#? JR OT Ryan Blackburn (Trust me you can't miss him, the kid is 6'3 300 and being looked at by UK)

#? SR K Glenn Earnest

#78 SR OT/DT Jimbo Stanley

#89 SR S/SE John Young

I refuse to make a comparison between this year's team and either of the 03-04 State Title Teams until the season concludes. But one thing that Belfry does seem to posess over those teams is the ammount of players with gamebreaking ability across the board. Belfry will rotate up to 6 different running backs throughout the game, each with a different running style, additionalyl QB Elkins has became very adept at running the ball as well giving the Pirates seven viable running options.

How is the seating at Somerset?

If I am not mistaken they only have one very large set of bleachers, concrete ones at that, ala Belfry's old stadium. Is this correct or does Somerset have visiting seating in place as well?

Somerset has a set of home and a set of visitor's bleachers. The total capacity of the stadium is 7000 with the visitor's side holding probably 2000 of that. The bleachers are aluminum, not concrete.

Thanks for the info. The preview on BGP had May at 6'2" 165, I thought he looked bigger than that.

I would put Lee at about 6'1'' and maybe 230. He slimmed down some over the off season and gained a step too. He has surprising speed for a man his size.

Glen is #61

Ryan is #57

Chancey is #72

HAHA yeah.. the QB Elkins is right around 6'2 165, but May is by all means a biggin'.

What does Somerset look like on the lines?

What does Somerset look like on the lines?

On Offense 2 tackles, 2 guards and 1 center :D oh yeah, sometimes a tight end...

On Defense 2 ends, 1 guard and 1 tackle :D

There you go.......

You have a guard on the defensive line? Glad I asked that question, that could be some valuable information as Somerset has invented a new defensive position just for this game :D
