When I get the flu, it's usually just a light touch that's gone in 24-36 hours, aided by me consuming mass quantities of fruit juices to flush the system, and I have little trouble working through it. Once in a great while, like every six or seven years or so, I get it REALLY BAD, where it completely knocks me off my feet for three or four days. But it's so rare, there's no point in getting a shot for it. Besides, when it does hit me like that, it also comes with the side benefit of knowing that after it's done, I'll have probably dropped 15-20 pounds, so it's like a speed diet. I can't recall the last time I got it real bad, so that means I'm probably due. But I welcome it, because I could stand some help in starting a diet.
