Wow. As a steeler fan, I hope that's exactly what the Bengals decide to bank on. Trade Chad and hope Henry gets his head on straight. Can I vote for that?

I'm with you. This is a really funny thread.

Ha I love this stuff. I must say my fellow Cincinnati sports fans are funny to listen too. I know if things aren't going right, everyone likes to try to blame it all on one person for why their losing. In baseball it was Adam Dunn, and alot of people wanted him traded, and not in football its Chad...I know Chad said it best in his interview with Keyshawn, where were all these people who wanted him gone when they were winning? I mean not many people thought he was a problem then...Also has anyone noticed that since we haven't been winning lately, Chad hasn't taken time to worry about celebrations. But how can that be if its so true that Chad only worries about himself and not the team winning? You would think that Chad would still be worrying about doing his celebrations all the time, even though the Bengals are losing, since he doesn't care about winning like some have tried to say...

Chad Johnson produces more than mostly any other receiver in the league when he is on that football field. He gives this team an opportunity to win every week. I mean Chad Johnsons antics aren't the reason why the defense sucks, or why the offensive line cant stay healthy, or the special teams cant do anything right...

I mean I sure hope all you all dont start going back on thinking he should be traded, if the Bengals all of a sudden start winning alot of games this year, behind Chad Johnson putting up big numbers for the team in helping them win...

Futurecoach, one of these days when you start coaching football you are going to have to ask yourself a couple of questions. Will you belive in a discipline policy and procedure that you follow for all of your athletes, or will it be more important to have "athleticism" on the field. You will find the longer you are around the game that athleticism does nothing besides make easy plays against easy competition when it is not accompanied by discipline. Chad is one of the most talanted recievers in the league. Hom many times have you seen him go hard across the middle in the last three years vs. alligator arm the football. As good as he is, his selfishness keeps him from being as good as he can be.

You missed a lot of debate on here if you think this is accurate. For about the last two years, numerous posters have bemoaning the lack of character in the players that Lewis has brought into this program.

And we have seen negatively how that has impacted the Bengals.

Henry gone. Joseph misses a game and comments allude that he continues to make the same mistakes and is not learning. Odell gone. AJ gone. And I believe there are 1 or 2 others.

Comments have been made for a couple seasons about Chad and his selfishness. Remember the Steelers game at halftime when an anonymous Bengal said Chad went off at 1/2time and was selfish. That player was ripped for not being a team player and ended up not on the team the next season.

Now we are hearing more and more players calling Chad out anonymously. Carson has had two games where he had problems with the route Chad runs. At one point, 6 of Carson's 8 interceptions were on balls thrown at Chad.

I know longer hear/read the players being ripped for not being good teammates for anonymously saying that Chad is selfish as happened 2-3 seasons ago.

This is not a piling on Chad, but a continuation of Marvin putting up/accepting poor character traits that have led the Bengals to being a poorly executing team. Think this crap would be accepted by the Patriots? I didn't see Dillion having issues. Moss has been quiet.

If they could get a good defensive player... I think they would have to trade him. I think its funny that the organization and his head coach are afraid to confront him about his actions....The Carson Palmer window is slowly closing and the organization better do something fast.

I will always go back to the Kimo von Oelhoffen knee job and consider that to be the start of the decline of Carson Palmer's career.

Vote on whatever you want to vote on but I'd like to see it happen.

I'm pretty sure you were the one a few months ago saying no other team would want him..

If you can find that, I'd like to see it.

The 2nd leading receiver in the NFL is only worth a 2nd or 3rd round pick???

You don't see teams in the NFL trading away first round picks very often.

I know a couple of in division teams that would gladly trade you what your asking for chad johnson.

Chad has been doing this ever since he entered the league. Another thing he does is lead the conference in yards every year. Worth only a 2nd or 3rd round pick? Give me a break... Chad has toned it down the past two weeks, there's much less dramatic ways to take care of Chad than trade him for nothing.

Chad needs to shut up and understand that he plays w/ one of the top 5 QB's in the league and his offense likes to throw the ball. If he's traded (I hope he isn't) I hope its to someone like the Vikes or Dolphins that can't throw the football. Put him on a bad team w/ a bad QB and he's just as big of a cry baby as TO and Moss when they were in those spots.

Hmmm no I have been here all of along, and I stand by what I said. In that no one was complaining about Chad really when the Bengals were winning..Most the the complaining started just one year (last year) not 2 and 3 years ago. No one said a word in 05 when we were going 11 and 5, it all started last year. And well guess what we were losing last year and had a terrible start and so did Chad. So people started blaming him last year for it, but for the few weeks when Chad tore it up again, well people got off his back once again. This town always seems to look for one person to blame when things aren't going well. Yeah I sure if this team was winning a few people still might say stuff, because some people just never like seeing people celebrate anything. So yeah would hear some people say stuff like that But if Chad was doing everything the same as he is now and this team was winning I bet you 75% of the people who dont like Chad now or want him traded, wouldn't have a problem with him and would want him here...

If the blame goes anywhere it should go on Marvin Lewis. I mean you kind of touched on that in your last paragraph in saying how Moss, Dillon and others didn't do that with the Pats. If there are different rules for Chad and then all the blame goes on Marvin. I mean if Chad is such a problem as people say he is, then Marvin from the very beginning should have done something and probably would have been fine. It would be kind of hard to go back on it now, and change things up, because if you let Chad do these things when they were winning, its kind of hard to go back and change things now when things aren't doing as well. Because I mean it would make Chad think it has nothing to do with what he does, because what he does didn't stop them from winning before...I bet you if there was a change of coaching and that new coach came in, and talked with Chad and let him know how things were going to be from the very beginning, that Chad would be just fine. However now since Marvin right from the start didn't do anything, it is kinda of to late IF there is problems...And I must say again I still dont think what Chad does is the reason why the Bengals are losing. Its just rather humerous that people would want Chad traded. As some of the Steeler fans on here have pointed out, those teams would love to see him traded from Cincy, because they know how much he helps this team win...
