I haven't seen a nicer facility from top to bottom anywhere in NKY and quite possibly the state than Dixie and I am not saying that as a homer. It stands right up there with anywhere in the state. Now if you like a field because it is your home field such as HHS thats one thing, but as far as entire complexes go very few compare to the Colonels.

 

I do agree that the facilities in general are probably the best in NoKY...BUT, the next game you go to, grab the best seat you can find on the visitors side...You won't think it is so great anymore.

The visitors side at Dixie is pretty bad.....Everything else is very nice though...

Dixie is definately a overall better facility that HHS. What would you expect with my tax dollars helping pay for it. I'm glad I could help!

God love ya Sandman, your right. If your the opponent, it is miserable and I can't stress missssssserable enough. But as far as being a fan at the Highlands David Cecil Memorial Stadium, as long as the opponents stay on their side of the 50 and the Highlands fans know what side of the 50 they are suppose to be on everything is just fine. Everyone has a great view of the game. It's when the visiting team fans decide to sit on the wrong side of the 50 we have a problem.

Ashland's Putnam Stadium is getting ready to get some TLC. The School Board has approved a committee of school employees, community members, and community leaders tasked with job of keeping the old gal true to its original construction and updating some other amenities. Although this process may take several years I can't wait to see what happens.

 

By the way my votes go to Putnam, Highlands, H.R. Evans, and Vipperman "Death Valley".

I wish that we could take the good HHS's football stadium and the good of our new complex and roll them together. Now that would be an unparralleled field!

I have to say Admiral Stadium/when they Play Host to Boyle County...If Lincoln and Mercer were added into the List,which I see in the Near Future.It will be just as intense...:ylsuper:

Trinity and Highlands have great FOOTBALL stadiums. St. X has a beautiful facility with huge home stands, a nice turf field, a terrific track and impressive press box. But, as a fan, you're too far from the action, like Male, Dunbar, Henry Clay and every other field with a track around it.

Pulaski Co. has been putting a lot into theirs, and I think it is going to be top notch when its done.

Breathitt has to be in the running. With the only covered stadium in the state. They plan on improving the visiting sideline within the next 5 years. The new road that comes threw jackson is supposed fill in the riverbank on the visiting sideline which will make for a more exciting place.

maybe because it is where I grew up but it is hard to say Scott county isnt top 3 i mean it was built for the Bengals. But I also like Lex Caths stadium a lot except they need more bleechers on the guests side

Mike Holcomb Complex Breathitt Co. is really a good place to watch a football game covered and will hold between 3500 and 4000 fans ,and yes the visitors side will hold a few ,and they are working to get that improved,i hear we getting new field ,i hope it's true,grass is too much trouble to keep up,so if we get another state championship,we just may have turf on Mike Holcomb Field also.....

No offense, but covered bleachers are not a plus IMO.
