Well, there's that.

 

I haven't been to St. X's stadium yet. Trinity has the best modern facilities, but I grew up with Manual stadium, and wouldn't trade it for anything... the Pizza Box included.

St X's home facilities are great, but they should be embarassed at what they built for their guests. It keeps it from being a great stadium.

 

It had nothing to do with St.X, building code restrictions that were found out too late prevented the visitors side and total stadium capacity from being any larger. It is still the best and I've have seen them all.

The number of seats isn't the big problem. Why did they put them so low? I stood on the top row behind the players and couldn't see the hash marks. Also, why spread the seats over such a long area? Is it possible that someone involved with the design was trying to increase home field advantage by putting the visitors in a hole and spreading them out in a long thin line?

 

But it is possible that is the most ridiculous question I have seen in a while. There were space and weight issues with the visitors side b/c of a MSD line that borders that side of campus. Nothing we could do about it.

I must admit that I have not been there yet, but if a track surrounds the field, there is no way it is the best. My season tickets for the ROCKS games are in the second row. I can hear what the coaches are saying to the players and what the players are saying to each other. I've even talked to the players. You can never do that on a field where there is a track. Trust me, this is not a slam on the track team, as I was a ROCK sprinter for four years and a state champ my senior year. Until I see the X field, Marshal stadium is the best and I have been going to high school games since 1964.

The Pit at Elder High School, Cincinnati, Ohio. That is, if you can get a ticket.

Its hard to beat a game at Danville on Friday night.

Trinity's is 2nd to none that I've seen but I love watching a playoff game at David Cecil Memorial.

I agree on both counts.

 

Saw Trinity for the first time, this year, and it was an amazing place. The facilities are top notch and the atmosphere is great.

 

But there's no place like home, and there's nothing like playing in Bluebird Canyon! :thumb:

Pulaski county high school will have a nice facility once it is complete. It has maroon chairback seats in the middle of the stands.

No one has said it is the best. I was just defending the jabs that continue to be made. I would argue we have the best multi purpose facility in the state.

Regardless of what some schools say it is not all about football. However, per the thread I love the tradition that goes with watching a game Manual.

Please read post #33. If he thinks that X has the best stadium, more power to him. I'm sure it is first class. I will agree that X has a very impressive campus. I'm only saying that I prefer a field with no track around it. :thumb:
