I must admit that I have not been there yet, but if a track surrounds the field, there is no way it is the best. My season tickets for the ROCKS games are in the second row. I can hear what the coaches are saying to the players and what the players are saying to each other. I've even talked to the players. You can never do that on a field where there is a track. Trust me, this is not a slam on the track team, as I was a ROCK sprinter for four years and a state champ my senior year. Until I see the X field, Marshal stadium is the best and I have been going to high school games since 1964.

 

Your right! St. X has a beautiful facility. But for football, it is a far 2nd to Trinity! Why! When you have Soccer (+10 yds), Track (+25 yds), you are 35 yards from the sideline if you are on the first row. The site lines don't compare! On the visitors side, from the top row (Row 5), you can't see any of the action because of the players on the sideline. This was caused by a big oops by the surveyor. All I'm saying is for FOOTBALL it compares equally to Henry Clay and Paul Dunbar (On a island far away). I would say for Soccer and Track, X has a #1 facility. By the way, I wish we had the land for a track at Trinity...

By the way! I vote for Trinity's Marshall Stadium... GO ROCKS!

I haven't seen a nicer facility from top to bottom anywhere in NKY and quite possibly the state than Dixie and I am not saying that as a homer. It stands right up there with anywhere in the state. Now if you like a field because it is your home field such as HHS thats one thing, but as far as entire complexes go very few compare to the Colonels.

I have to go with Trinity's facilities as a pure football arena. You can see, hear, etc, from all locations. St. X's facilities are absolutely topknotch and probably the best total athletic complex around, but as a purely football setting, you set too far from the field. I attended one scrimmage game there earlier this year and the visitor stands really do suck. You cannot see over the players head if you set in the middle of the stands. I understand it had something to do with the cemetary behind it and building restrictions. The St. X concessions though had more items than any field I have been at, and being a chowhound, that was impressive to me! I will also agree that John Hardin visitor stands are an embarrassment to that fine school, especially compared to the home side bleachers.

St. X's new stadium is the nicest facility in the State maybe the best in all the surounding states as well. It may not have the history but it soon will. It is realy nice. I am not even an St. X fan. It is just that nice.

 

Unless you are on the visitor side and the fact you've got the track that puts you so far from the action.......like Henry Clay, etc.

I know Scott County has to share it with Georgetown College and the Bengals... But How can you not say the Toyota Stadium in georgetown is not one of the top 5 in the state.

 

The fact it actually feels like a stadium instead of just plain old bleachers makes it so great And any coach who has been in the box, knows that it is nothing but first class up there.
