Boy, there's a name I haven't thought about in a long time! He was a good guy. As for the ICN broadcasts, I think they're great. Like everyone else, I especially like Charlie Coleman's input.

 

My one pet peeve: Would all the local (and non-local) announcers please learn how to pronounce "Bathiany?" :irked:

2. The camera work at times is not the best but the overall quality of the picture is pretty good considering that the fields and camera placements are not designed for TV.

I know where they could find one of the best field camera people around, I am sure they are willing to be hired.

Mr. Coleman seems very knowledgable, What is his background? I think the broadcasts are presented very proffessionally.:thumb:

 

Coleman does a great job, as he does on his ICN6 sports show.

Charlie was at Bellevue in the late 70's. He then went to Rowan County where he did not fare very well down there. He then went back to Bellevue in 1988 and coached Bellevue until the 2000 football season. Charlie coached some very good football teams. In 1990 his team was runner-up. In 1999 his team went 12-1 and 2000 the Tigers went 11-2. In 1999 and 2000 the Tigers went to the regional finals. Charlie does an excellent job and does have a lot of football knowledge...

Charlie is a Northern Kentucky Coaching Legend in his own right, no matter how humble he may now appear to be. Back in the day, us officials knew we were in a Big Game if Charlie was yelling at us. And beleive me, Charlie was a legendary yeller...

He seems like a nice guy, I just wish he had a clue when it comes to NKY football. Please someone get him a complimentary membership. I like his style, but have a hard time stomaching the substance.

OK, I will pay for Mr. Borders membership if someone can get him to contact me.

Scott seems very enthusiastic and is trying his best I'm sure, but I agree with others that he's not the best (then again, I'm sure he does better than I would). We all "mis-speak" but at times he's seemed confused saying that one coach is with one team, when actually the coach is with the other team. I assume its just a slip up.

 

Coleman does a great job.

 

Still waiting to watch a CovCath game on ICN 6 when they don't mention or interview some one that doesn't mention the Mud Bowl game. At times, it seems that the Mud Bowl victory is more meaninful than the 6 state championships that CovCath won. Good old Coach Ray kept the streak alive this year.

Did anybody else catch Charlie's response during the NCC,Newport game when NCC was throwing the ball up 40 points. Wow!!!!!!! He didn't say it, but i will say that Highlands isn't the only school accused of throwing the ball when the game is out of control. I guess what comes around goes around!!!!

I think ICN-6 does a great job and if anyone from the 60's and 70's no we only had a radio stationg WHKK in Erlanger. As for Charlie Coleman a class act and his NKY sports legend show is good I just wonder how he is going to interview his self since he himself is a sports legend. He was a very good football coach in the 80's and 90's and I enjoyed scouting his teams. ICN-6 keep up the good work and thanks Charlie for all the memories you bring on your Sports Legend show's. Charlie coached me one year and made playing football fun. He had so many Charlie'isms I still remember several to this day.

 

My alltime fav was when he questioned a kid's toughness in practice one day and told him that if he ever met him in a dark alley and he tried to take his wallet that he would probably keep it. He had a way of motivating kids and making them better and I am just upset that I have Direct TV and cant tune into his NKY Lengends show as well as his broadcasts on IcN 6.

 

Keep up the great work Charlie, we all have a lot of respect for you.

I'm a big fan of the show and catch it either live or on repeat each week. I often watch a game a couple times. This is a real treat that we have this available to us.
