September 30, 200719 yr It seems this group of cats never give up and always think they can win. What do you think was the turning point for this success? Was its last seasons LSU beating,Georgia or Clemson wins? I think it was the way the won the Georgia game with the late score.
September 30, 200719 yr According to Brooks, the LSU beating was the wakeup call they needed. He apparently told them after that game that they were playing too soft and that is why LSU thumped them (that and LSU was/is and excellent team). From that point on, this team has been hungry and on a mission. I just hope they keep it up. The confidence building game was the UGA win, but the Clemson win confirmed to these kids that they COULD win. Since then, they not only seem hungry, but seem to feel they have something to prove and have set their goals MUCH higher than UK teams in the past (you know, when being bowl eligible was the benchmark for a successful UK season). They have already won as many games this season as many posters on here said they would win FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON! They just seem to have great leadership and character and don't get rattled. I like the cut of their jib!!!

October 1, 200719 yr IMO it was when Pulley blew off his summer classes and was replaced by #3. UK would not be winning with Pulley as the qb.
October 1, 200719 yr I believe the turning point unquestionably was when I sold my season tickets and decided to watch the games on tv and not make the long drive.

I do feel confident that Curtis Pulley's promotion to the #1 quarterback status, was very much about sending a notice of motivation to Andre Woodson, and .........it worked!

October 1, 200719 yr When Tenn decided to dump Coach Saunders as a scapegoat! He turned Woodson into a totally different player IMO. You see what direction UT has gone in! Archer taking off helped too IMO!
October 1, 200719 yr One sub 4.5 guy before Brooks' arrival, he's done a very good job of recruiting players capable of playing in the SEC. Sounds like Jimmy's and Joe's mixed with some X's and O's.
