Was there and all I can say is it was a hard fought game and both teams should be proud. As for the lighting, it wasn't the greatest but hey it got the job done and what a great atmosphere. Loved it. And boy are some of those Beechwood boys big. WOW!! Looks like CCH is getting better each week, but still a long way to go. I for one, wouldn't want to play them in the playoffs.

Cov Cath defense played a good game. They did give up a long pass play in the first quarter on a blown coverage. That drive went on for Beechwood's td.

 

Elliot is very quick. There was enough pressure by the d to not let him set his feet for throws too much.

 

How did the refs not call the fumble by the Beechwood running back? :confused::confused::confused:

I REALLY, REALLY hope HHS doesn't have to play CCH again this year.

This is the first time I've watched BW this year. Is their offense always so vanilla? Hand it off to #4, throw bombs, hope Elliott makes a big run??

 

I guess you can win 1A with that and a huge o-line but I guess I see why Boone waxed them in preseason.

CCH won, congrats!! My question would be to the man in charge of assigning the refs to what game, the best game in town and they send the worse crew in town, don't make sense to me. I think everyone will agree the bad calls did go both ways, one after another but in the last 22 sec, and it is on film very clear, Elliott did score, Bankemper's run was questionable but not Elliott's.

I have no clue as to whether he scored. I'm hoping to see it on the replay tonight on ICN6. When you say "worse crew" are you saying from the perspective of "that was terrible so they must be the worst" or are you saying you know they are the worst?

 

If you the film, where was the qb on the last play? Did he get rocked on the play and was zoned out?

 

Lastly, the intensity on both sides was fun to watch. Its what a neighborhood rivalry should be.

Good Win for CCH, they caught Beechwood on a very unproductive night on offense. Who ever the "O" coordinater is for Beechwood, needs to rethink his career. He is way over his head. Yes the Tigers were sloppy execution wise, yes there were missed blocks, but this guys play calling belongs in PeeWee ball. I hear he was a good QB at one time make him a qb coach, and bring someone in that has the ability to adjust to defensive schemes.

Beechwood got robbed. Those refs need to be fired. Beechwood's Cody Elliott was four feet in the endzone. The back ref called it a touchdown but the side judges ignored him. Then the refs didn't get the ball set until 15 seconds had ran off the clock. This game was not won by Cov Cath. It should have been a tie and gone to OT. Worst reffing I have ever seen. Beechwood, you did not lose this one, don't let it get you down!!!!!!

 

What about Bankamper's fumble in the third quarter?

Does anybody know if the refs are held accountable for their calls? .There was very bad spots and calls that were game changing, the fumble by #4, and Elliots td, I was on the goal line, it was in, How can 1 ref signal TD and the other ignore it.

I'll give Coach Rash credit for a strong decision on not kicking it to #7. He was not going to let Kyle bring it back and instead make the offense put a drive together. Smart move.

Interesting to hear the ICN6 guy say this was the first night game in 83 years at CCH. Who knew?

Beechwood has an excellent coaching staff. I think some credit needs to go to the CCH defense. Both teams, by playing hard, made the other look unproductive at times. The atmosphere at CCH was AMAZING.
