How can you say that it didnt effect the outcome. #27 stripping of the ball, sure td, BW Bankempers fumble within striking distance CCH, pass interference not called on CCH pass interference not called on Beechwood, pass called incomplete on CCH countless bad spots, clock screw ups. Bad? I think so. All these calls could have had a dramatic impact on the game for either team. The kids dedicate there life to this game, all the time that it requires is amazing. To have a crew such as was appointed to this game or any game is a slap in the face to the programs. I am sure CCH would have preffered a win or loss without contraversy, and Beechwood I am sure feels the same

 

 

Colonel-Fan/Vangelis, now this is well put! There were numerous calls as pointed out earlier that made a huge difference in the game.

 

Was the crew bad, YES! The back judge I have never seen before along w/the side judge on the CCH sideline. The Umpire can't get out of the way of his own shadow and the white hat, I think 1st yr V, did some JV last yr. These players/schools deserved a more experienced crew to do the game. That is the bottom line. Can you imagine them getting a playoff game, come on, if you were at the game Vangelis, can you honestly say they are playoff material, let alone a big rivalry like this one.

Maybe the refs were just having a tough time seeing anything due to the dim lights, shadows and the cigar smoke from the visitors concession stand.

I don't know where the delay of game came in at but that was not the issue.

 

It was said an offensive penalty cannot stop the clock. So, I said delay of the game stops the clock until the snap.

I watched the game and I believe that they officiated well. :fight: Join the NKOA if you think you can do better. We have a meeting next Tuesday at, guess where........Yep, Beechwood. However with that said, I hate it when an offical says, "if you think you can do better". YOU ARE GETTING PAID, if you want to do it, then do it, but just because I have no desire to officiate does not do away with my right to voice my opinion on the job you signed up for and are getting paid to do.

Agree but I am not blaming the loss on the refs. BHS should never have been in that situation.

 

Vangelis, I would never step foot on any playing field or court as a ref. There are too many know it alls in the stands.:banana: If you think the game was reffed well, I don't know what to tell you except you have a lot to learn still and you might want to find a new suppliment income other than reffing H.S. football.

 

cshs81, read what I wrote. I meant that he was a JV white last yr, he had never been a V white hat until this yr.

 

My point w/the refs is that the man in charge should have more respect to the players and schools to assign the more experienced refs to the more challenging games. I would think if a vote were taken the best game in town was the CCH/BHS game. IMO, we did not get the best crew available to do the game.
