This is not an upset. I called this win for CCH. Beechwood is good and will win Class A but CovCath had the 12th man tonight playing under the lights for the first time ever.

How were the lights tonight? Were they as bad as what was said in the other thread about them? good win for the Blue Colonels

There were some shadows on the field, but the lights looked fine on tv.

I may be wrong, but I think it was 24.2 seconds with no timeouts. QB sneak was a bad call, not enough time to get off another play. Don't put the ball in the hands of the refs. Throw the ball, if it is incomplete, the clock stops. You can run the QB sneak on the last play of the game if you think that is your best option. Overall I don't understand why Beechwood did not try to throw more. Defensive victory for CCH. :thumb:

Beechwood got robbed. Those refs need to be fired. Beechwood's Cody Elliott was four feet in the endzone. The back ref called it a touchdown but the side judges ignored him. Then the refs didn't get the ball set until 15 seconds had ran off the clock. This game was not won by Cov Cath. It should have been a tie and gone to OT. Worst reffing I have ever seen. Beechwood, you did not lose this one, don't let it get you down!!!!!!

Unfortunately, I did not set any extra time up on the DVR and missed the final plays. From my vantage point, I could not see if Elliott got in. It sure looked like the line judge was immediately marking it short.

 

Was it #56 who was trying to line up to take the last snap? If so, a)where was Elliott and b)who took #56s spot on the line?

I was shocked at how limited BW's offense was. If it weren't for Elliott's amazingly quick feet and one blown coverage on the first drive, BW gets no yards. Period. The only yards gained seemed to come on busted plays where Elliott made it up as he went along.

 

CCH's D was dominant tonight.
