Point of emphasis for officials this year is grabbing of jersey by defensive players.

The crowd sounded very loud and a coupleof times on TV you could see McNair and Co. singnaling to the sidelines that they couldn't hear!

I'll take it too, but it wasn't even close to the correct call. Like I said, this was a big win for the Bengals, but this was an incredibly ugly game both ways.

Again, by the book it is the correct call. A bit ticky tacky for my taste, especially at that point in the game, but correct as per the rules nonetheless.

Sometimes we forget that there is a human element to this as well. It's not like he had the 15 replays that we all had to make the decision.

 

I've seen worse not called and I've seen calls with even less contact.

I actually think we'll win the division. I think Pitt is overrated, and we're about even with Baltimore, and now we have an edge and an easier schedule.

I'm not sure how the Bengals will do but I really have a tough time believing they won't make the playoffs, and would lean towards them winning the division as well. I was very unimpressed by Tenn., Jaxsonville, and Denver this weekend. Indy and NE are cleary a cut above the rest of the teams, but I think the Bengals have to be in that next tier. Who else would you put ahead of them? Pittsburgh? I can maybe even buy that, but then who?

I'm glad we got the W.... HOWEVER at the same time I think it would've been alot different game had Baltimore not had the personell issues they did.

 

With that said I think the Bengals could've won by atleast 14 if the Ravens and the Bengals knew we had a field goal game tonight. Every time we got within field goal range the fan's got quiet.

Another thing that I failed to mention was the Bengal crowd tonight. I thought they were awesome :ylsuper: - seem like a great atmosphere from watching on t.v..

Can we please not complain for one night and revel in a good W where the D was everywhere and the O did enough to win!

The Bengals W against one of the better D's in the league.... forced a ton of TO's and people still either don't believe it... or are trying to find ways that Baltimore could have won.

 

Bengals have had more then their share of bad calls in the past few years I don't wanna hear that...... and Baltimore had another chance on the Williams call.

Silly me. I thought the Bengals were still up 7 when that call was made? :confused:

 

The Bengals were given a gift on that call....If anything it should have been on the defense, as Heap's jersey was being pulled....And the Bengals wouldn't have been up by seven had that call not been made.
