Great win, and very exciting game! Defense looked good, see what happens when we actually blitz and attack the other teams offense, instead of just sitting back all the time...Hopefully we keep doing this every week on defense with how we attacked Baltimore offense...

The game probably would have went to OT and the Bengals O was looking horribly out of sync .....

You guys act as if the turnovers were just given to us. They were TAKEAWAYS. The defense made those plays. Especially the interceptions. Only the first fumble was really given to us, and we didn't even score on the following drive.

 

As for the offensive pass interference, I think it was a good call, at a bad time. I personally wouldn't have made the call, but it was illegal. It wasn't that Heap pushed off, it was that he had his arm fully extended, and elbows locked. Anyone who's ever play defensive back knows that if somebody locks their elbow, it's impossible to get by that, which is why Madieu grabbed his jersey. I think it should've been a no call, because of the situation, but it was the right call.

Something Chad Johnson said before the game has me concerned a little bit, and I think he has a point because I have kind of thought the same thing. The bengals offense hasn't really change much since 2005, while other teams have and seem to be catching up a little to what the Bengals are doing. I know I would like to see Bratkowski actually add some more new wrinkles to this offense...

 

I do know that we were without 3 starters on the O-line, without Chris Henry, and going against Baltimore defense. So of coarse its going to be a hard time. But this is just something that I noticed a little last year, and then to here Chad actually say that as well, has me a little worried that teams have started to catch up a little with what we do and we have not tried to adjust to that to much...

I just said the same working on show prep for tomorrow. By the book it was the right call. The flag was out as soon as the arm was extended and made contact with the defender...

I'll take it too, but it wasn't even close to the correct call. Like I said, this was a big win for the Bengals, but this was an incredibly ugly game both ways.

Just in from the game. Wow that was wild. We were in the endzone where Balt had the ball at the end. No voice left. Did the crowd sound very loud on TV? Recap : D played well. Special teams were atrocious. The decision to try a very long FG early was clearly a mistake. The decision to punt from the 34 was another. Net 14 yards on the punt, you might as well go for it. Carson was out of rythym on his throws, but he was under duress. Rudi. man you just can't fumble in that situation. Bengals were lucky to come away with the W.

I just got back from the game. Very entertaining and worth every penny spent.

 

I do think the Bengals were a little lucky but they made a lot of their own breaks. I really like the fact that we put more pressure on the passer and if we can hang in there until both Perry and Henry come back this team will be in any game.
