I watched Cincy St. X play Glenville today. From what I saw, is that X defense is really really really GOOD. Glenville has some serious speed on that team and X defense bent but never broke. I really doubt Trinity has the same speed as Glenville.

Exactly...and this year's team has 5-6 players who saw regular playing time as Sophomores. I hope T wins, just to say that KY's best is better than Ohio's best....but, I don't see how T has more athletes than DeMatha or Glennville.

UK -vs- UL is next Saturday night.

Now how could I forget that? Good Luck to T Friday night. That would be a huge win.

I have seen Trinity play this year and I would say they have as much team speed as any team in KY. Is that enough for Friday? I don't know. They will have to be pretty good Friday to pull off the win. Trinity's staff is pretty good, so I wouldn't put it past them. Gotta stay loyal to the state, I'll say Trinity in a close one.

Too bad this game isn't played on Saturday. What a gate! I would have liked to have seen it.

Trinity could play St. X 3 games and they wouldn't score 24 points.

 

Trust me, their defense is unreal. You will be lucky to score at all. Seriously.

Dont get me wrong, Trinity is a solid team-perhaps the best in KY, I just dont think they're ready for size and brute strength of X. I think T will score (Stein to Dutton) but Phillips is going to have a hell of a time trying to get through X's Defense. X will defend their house, and especially if Ashley plays-Im sorry boys...its lights out for Trinity. Best of luck rocks...you'll need it.

You really don't know what you are running into, do you? :sssh:

 

You may not give up 35 because they don't play to score a lot of points. They play ball control, field position type football. Their special teams are lights out. Your kickoff return team will be completely neutralized. Their kicker consistently kicks through the endzone on kickoffs....every time.

 

I think X scores somewhere in the 24-27 range and Trinity scores somewhere in the 7-10 range.

I know what we are getting into...out kicker kicks almost all of his kicks into the endzone as well. There is not a sharper offensive staff around than Beatty AND Coverdale (he has been published numerous times)...we may get beat, even by 2-3 scores....but we will score more than 7 points.

I'm concerned about Trinity being able to run the ball against X. X has some studs up front and some D-I linebackers. This will also be Trinity's first road game.
