I think you need to give the Northern Players a little more credit, Meece has a very good team and have beaten some very good teams this year, but the Northern kids played well. I think a little better than some people thought. The seventh grade game may have had a little different flavor had Northerns best player not had a broken wrist. Kudos to the jumpers, but dont disrespeect the nortern players buy say the jumpers played their worst game.

Northern's players played hard and they played well. That does not change the fact that Meece played their worst game of the year. The same thing happened the last time we had games 2 days apart. Is Northern's quarterback okay, he really got drilled? Dr. Wilson said that he thought he should be okay but might have some whiplash.

 

On a side note congrats to the Jumpers 8th Grade Center, Taylor Speaks who recovered a fumble in the endzone for a rare touchdown by an offensive lineman.

It was also Northern's 3rd game in 7 days,You have proven to be the typicial "homer" As a matter of fact Northern didnt play their best game either, If you think it would have been a runnig clock you need to see Doctor Wilson yourself.:laugh:

The quarterback getting hurt took a lot of the fun out of the game. I will have to agree that Meece did not look as good as they have looked. Northern played hard.

Northern canceled this year's game against Corbin by fax or e-mail(I forgot which, I just know they didn't bother to call) a couple of days before it was scheduled to be played.

Not once but twice did they do this to us this year. If they want to play call I wish they would call us will make time.

Northern Pulaski Cancelled on us twice this year once on our 8th grade and once on the 7th grade on seperate dates. As for last year we tried to schedule Northern Pulaski and after numerous phone calls we got no return. So.........no i do not believe Northern will play our Redhounds anytime. Down, or up we have never scheduled or cancelled for that reason, anyone that keeps up with middle school football will tell you that.:thumb:

I'm not a Redhound fan but I know they love their football over there and can't imagine they would cancel a game.

You can talk all the smack you want but It dosent change the facts.The last time they played each other I do believe Northern pretty much handled the Redhounds with ease and just got done playing Meece which is better than Corbin, so I can asure you they are not afraid of the hounds. It is pretty much your word against ours, so we will just have to agree to diagree.

Does anyone know how the P.C. quarterback is doing?

I would like to commend Jpey and his coaching staff first for having his team ready and having them play hard. Second for their compsure in a tense situation after the hit on their q.b. emotions were starting to rise and he and the staff did a great job in handling his football team.

I far as I know he is doing fine. He went home last night and might play this week.

I can assure you that Meece is not and does not feel that they are better than the Redhounds. These teams have now played 3 times the last 2 years and Corbin is 2-1 against the Jumpers. Both are quality teams and Meece happened to come out on top in the last game but Corbin was missing their starting quarterback. A rematch in the playoffs could very well go the other way. As a matter of fact if Meece had played against Corbin as poorly as they played against Northern Saturday it would have been a running clock in the second half in the Redhounds favor.

So let me get this straight (and I don't expect an answer this will get ignored) MM is comparing cancelling a scheduled game to not returning calls to schedule a game? It would seem to me that if a game were already scheduled it would be the school's obligation to play it where as no school is under any obligation to play a game that is not on their schedule. So tell us Maroon Man was Corbin on this year's schedule and Northern cancelled? Did Corbin ever CANCEL (I'm talking about a scheduled game) a game with Northern?

You know what? It doesn't even matter all we've heard from Northern is what they've done in years past because they've really got nothing to say about either one of this year's teams and they only reason it wasn't that way last year against Corbin and Meece was that Northern didn't want to play. This isn't 2 or 3 years ago--those days are gone.
