November 1, 200718 yr If that had been explained prior to or during the game it would have been great. Half the distance is half the distance. If the officials had done the right thing to begin with ( put the ball on the three) it would not have mattered. The 18" means nothing to me I was just using it as one example where we have gotten a bad call that cost us a chance at the game. If you remember we were stopped less than a foot short on the tying 2 point try. Clay had negative yards for the game, (score came on a kick off return) and could not move the ball. From then on we got 3 or 4 penalties that helped Clay hold onto the ball at the end of the game (I am not saying they were bad calls, that is just the only way they were able to sustain a drive all night). It didn't matter, that's my point. You got your try from the 1 1/2 yard line, just where you should have. If that is an example of a bad call that cost you a chance at a game, it's a poor example. Frankly, I can't remember that much of the game. Let's move on please.
November 1, 200718 yr I am not taking anything away from the kids at all the kids on both teams played their heart out. There will be a tape sent to Mr. Noel Hargis 12th region head official. Several referee's in the area have looked at this tape and are completley stunned that 5 grown men would do this to a bunch of kids. Like I said not to take anything away from either teams kids they played their heart out. But when you have several somerset fans come up to you and say that they are sorry that these kids couldn't get a fair shot at each other in the biggest game of their lives so far. We were told by one Somerset fan not to hold this against the Somerset football program that this is not what they stand for or believe in.

Don't bother giving it to Noel Hargis he dosen't want to hear it. He is a complete joke for a head official. I had a complaint about an official in one of our games who refused to switch ends of the field after the first quarter and when I called him he would not even listen. Marvin kinch is the head of middle school officials and is very helpful. Noel Hargis is full of himself and needs to be replaced.
