Meece Middle goes to Corbin Thursday night. This game could determine the #1 seed in the conference.

Northern swept a pair of games over the weekend from Lincoln Co, 42-8 in the 7th grade game and 20-14 in the 8th.

Are they ready for the Jumpers Saturday? We'll only have one day (and probably no practices) to recover from our trip to Corbin on Thursday so I don't know how we'll look.

It wont make a difference, Northern is weaker than they have been in 5 or 6 years.

Did Northern and Southern play tonight?

Northern Beat Southern's 7th grade 36-12 and lost the 8th grade game 22-0 in a shortened game because the power went out.

South Laurel 7th grade beat Clay Co. 20-6 tonight. To improve to 5-0 for the season.

Meece Middle 8th grade beat Corbin 22-8. Meece remains undefeated. The 7th grade did not fair as well.

Great game for the Jumpers tonight. They stopped the Hounds on their first series and then scored on their first play from scrimmage. Corbin answered to tie it but the Jumpers scored the final 2 touchdowns of the game for the win. If I'm not mistaken the Corbin kids went undefeated as 7th graders and were also undefeated this season. Meece is now 5-0 on the season and 3-0 in conference play--all on the road. They play their first home game on Saturday night against Northern in a game that will determine the mythical "Pulaski County Champion" in the 7th and 8th grades. A win over South Laurel's 8th grade team next Thursday will give the Jumpers home field throughout the playoffs.

Congrats Meece on a big win, now go get one Saturday.

Our 8th grade kids have been wanting a shot at Northern for 2 seasons--the Maroon and White better have 'em strapped on tight for this one.

Don't beat them too bad or they won't play again for 3 seasons

Don't say that Joey might be watching this site. I expect them to cancel anyway--I don't think they want any of the Jumpers.

FYI, Northern has beaten Meece 3 of the last 4 games. Jumper Dad, you dont know what you are talking about. Three years ago They would not bring their players out of the locker room until the last second hoping to get rain so they could cancell, because they did not want to face Ty Perkins, Winston Hines and crew. 54-0 8th and 40-0 seventh. It was the Actions of your coaching staff and parents that got the game cancelled in the first place. Do your research before you make a statement with no facts behind them. I can assure you Northern will show up, You probally do have the better team this year but Northern dont play just when they think their team is better.:ylsuper:

Thats right the only time they will play is if they think they can beat you. Somerset has a fine team 8th grade. I'M from Corbin and wondering how no.32 for the 7th grade is doing he went out early last night in our game hope he is o.k.

  :scared:
