Vick Accepts Plea Deal

Featured Replies

I'm saying he gets 18 months, which will likely mean he doesn't play another down of football for at least 3 years.

That means he would come back at 30. I don't know I think he's done. He can't make a living standing in the pocket.

If he has half a brain (which I'm not sure he does) he should already be set for life in terms of money.

If he had half a brain, would he be in this situation to start with?

The prison team should be pretty tough now.

I have read on other sites that his plea includes naming names of other players.........

:thumb: You just can't fix..............Stupid. :D

Someone may bring im back as a RB..............just a thought. I personally hope the NFL bans him for good but I don't look for it.

  He may knock Burt Reynolds (Longest Yard) out of a starting position on the "Thugsville Pit Bulls" Prison team.

I'd say he ends up locked up around a year by the time it's over. I don't think the league will jump to suspend him but let the legal system take care of it first. I then think they will take their stance and suspend him probably another year based on his behavior. I'd say he will be out this year and next. Back in the league in 2009 if he stays out of trouble.

My thoughts as well...

With the Feds involved I knew that he wouldn't get out of it. That is not like state or local. Feds are serious and if they indicte then they are sure of it, they do not lose those.

I thought the same thing. Maybe an attorney out there knows better numbers (Hearsay, I'm looking in your direction) but I think that the conviction rate in Federal district courts is something between 80-90 percent as opposed to the state courts which is closer to 45-50 percent.

High profile defendant, well-paid attorneys involved... the federal government wouldn't have brought this one right now unless they were pretty darn sure they could win.

If the Feds are involved I am sure that you can next look at the IRS getting involved. Seems to me they may have reason to consider possible tax evasion charges if any gambling earnings went unreported.

What a year for Bobby to finally jump ship.........

Vick might star in Longest Yard 2

I swear I was thinking the exact same thing while reading about this at work today.

Also hope he doesn't run in to any guys who think; "You were the fool that killed my dog, ain't you!":fight: :fire:

If Goodell is smart, he'll make an example out of Vick. Yes, the thought of what he did to innocent dogs is disgusting and sickening.

However, that's nothing compared to the fact that one of your league's top players has plead guilty to running a gambling ring. Especially with the Donaghey (sp?) situation. IMO, Vick needs to be done for good because the NFL doesn't need the question mark that will be left on every close NBA game for the next few years...

How does the two compare. One was on the court and the other during his personal time away from football. How will that cause a ? mark for football?

I hope he serves the max and never plays again. How can someone be so cruel to dogs?

There are plenty of people who do it, all over the place. Some people even eat dogs.
