That is the saving grace of his supporters and if I believed him, I'd be yelling the exact same thing.

And until it's proven otherwise, I'll continue to hold that stance...:thumb:

What a joke...

What do you mean???

How many kids grow up wanting to ride a bike for a living???

Then think about how many kids grow up wanting to play baseball for a living???

Comparing the 2 is ridiculous.

This record means so much more.

Not at all, many do. Just that there wasn't much of an uproar on here when that whole controversy came about.

As much? No but cycling isnt exactly a national pasttime outside of Europe. Add in the fact that Lance does not come across as a prime horse's rump and its understandable.

As so many have said, cheating is cheating...How is one more wrong than the other??

But in #48 you said that you'd still support him if he were found guilty of cheating.

What he did is wrong. Take his records away. The reason a lot of people don't say anything about that is because a lot of people don't care. Baseball records mean something to the people here.

Yeah that Dummy was right on the money with everyone else he rated out.

Then why didn't he name Alex the first time around? This time the dummy is trying to make money. And did you you see him on that VH1 show? Yea....

Lets all resume tomorrow. I've got to hit the hay.

My last thought for the night:

Show me the proof of Bonds knowingly taking steroids....

Maybe I should have put it in another way. Bonds supposedly did it. Still, it takes talent to swing the bat and hit the ball. I could take steriods for a year and still not be able to smack the ball like that.

My bad. I misunderstood.

First, I don't subscribe to the "others did it, too" rationalization.

Do you consider it normal for him to hit his peak power years so late in his career? I realize that being abnormal is not in and of itself a clear indicator but when you factor it in with the accusations/abnormal head growth/abnormal feet growth/lame excuses (I didn't know what I was putting on)/folks like Brian Johnson coming out/BALCO connections/etc, you'd have to be somewhat ostrich-like to think that he's not done steroids more than one year, right?

Lastly, right or wrong, Bonds will ALWAYS be the face of this steroid era.

I know he did a lot of things that make peoples skin crawl. I also know it was a topic swept under the rug in baseball for decades. "Greenies" have been around for a LONG time. Now that they are banned do we get to go and look back at every guilty player?

In the end steroids was just this generations "glutony of choice" in cheating the game. I doubt future generations look on it as harshly as the one that will have a voice when it is broken again without the steroid era "cloud"...

Yeah he is trying to make more money. Why rat everyone out at once. Come on don't be so blind. I am not saying he did but Canseco has been right.

Great night for BONDS.

It was great watching it especially being BONDS is my favorite player.

True, but I'm just saying that Jose is trying to sell a book by namimg one of the hottest hitters at this time as having used steriods. He can't say anything about Bonds that hasn't already been said. I'm just not buying it this time. And neither is the media. AT least until the book comes out.
