And I will...While I wouldn't necessarily condone cheating, Bonds came up with numerous upon numerous players that were juicing. Records in the future will be broken by players that have taken steriods. If every guy that has put on mass during his career is ridiculed and raked over the coals as Barry has been, I won't say another word about it. Everybody is cheering on ARod, when I think it's very possible that ARod has juiced himself. Will he be treated the same way?
August 8, 200719 yr Great night for BONDS. It was great watching it especially being BONDS is my favorite player. You're right, it was a great night for Bonds. Barry is far from my favorite player but you have to respect an athlete like him. Like I said earlier, steroids or not, the man has incredible hand eye cordination. He's a great ball player and I respect him for that. IF Barry was found to be involved with steroids it wouldnt change my opinions much. A lot of ball players were juicing during the "steroid era" and none of them have just broken a record that stood for this long. As far as the * theory goes...If you put one by Barry's name for this record then you need to go back and put one beside every hit he had, every MVP award, every HR and every game a team won that Bonds was apart of along with the same for every player who has been proven to have used the stuff.

What about Mcguire, Sosa and all the others that were supposed to be shooting up???? With the Pictures? If an athlete works hard and builds up his body does that mean he's on steroids?? Has there been any high school kids bulk up and get bigger... Are they all cheating or is it steroids???? Should the team and/or any record they achieve have an * ???? Go back over sports the last 30 + years and put an * beside the athletes who used any substance.... Human Growth Hormone, Steroids, Pain Killers, Creatine, they all help performance.... If he did use, all the HR didn't come from steroids and why is bonds the only one getting heat for steroids and other substances when he's not the only one that uses/used them in the past... Where are the test to prove him guilty??? Stop wasting the time on the grand jury and all the non sense over this...

August 8, 200719 yr Congradulations to Barry! He knew it and I knew and everyone knew it as soon as he hit it. I have decided that all he has gone through, the scrutiny, he deserves this record. Hank Aaron was very classy also.
