I meant tonight. The players using when Bonds was in question spread far and wide, and outside of the 73 year, his numbers were nothing but consistent across the board.

If the "steroid era" is attached to Bonds, it is attached to a whole lot more than this record.

I enjoyed every minute of tonight with no hard feelings about the "steroid era" at all.

Blast away...

Well said. :thumb:

Interesting theory. Reward the cheater if he's better at cheating than his counterparts.

I assume that logic doesn't apply to bank robbers?;)

The cheater is playing a game while the bank robber is well...robbing a bank. A tad bit different.

Lance Armstrong.

Who cares about bicycling really...I mean we're talking baseball! America's Sport, not riding a bike.

Not at all, many do. Just that there wasn't much of an uproar on here when that whole controversy came about.

Well that comes mostly because no one cares about cycling.

Congrats to Barry. Records are meant to be broken and someone will eventually break this one. Steroids or not, the man is an incredible hitter. I'm glad I got to witness history tonight.

Everybody's body is different...The way steroids would affect you might not be the same way they affect me...For people to automatically dismiss ARod because he is a "Golden Boy" is comedic.

There's no proof of Alex using steriods. Just a dummy trying to make a buck, is the only one saying so.

Man, that was one  of a swing.

So true.

What a joke...

Yeah that Dummy was right on the money with everyone else he rated out.

Show me the proof of Bonds knowingly taking steroids....

So that means Bonds did it??

No. We were discussing the "timing" of the suspicion vs. when the records were broken not the proof of such suspicion.

My bad. I misunderstood.

First, I don't subscribe to the "others did it, too" rationalization.

Do you consider it normal for him to hit his peak power years so late in his career? I realize that being abnormal is not in and of itself a clear indicator but when you factor it in with the accusations/abnormal head growth/abnormal feet growth/lame excuses (I didn't know what I was putting on)/folks like Brian Johnson coming out/BALCO connections/etc, you'd have to be somewhat ostrich-like to think that he's not done steroids more than one year, right?

Lastly, right or wrong, Bonds will ALWAYS be the face of this steroid era.

I am glad that a Cynthiana Boy was on the field during this historic night.

Show me the proof of Bonds knowingly taking steroids....

That is the saving grace of his supporters and if I believed him, I'd be yelling the exact same thing.

Steroids or not, the man is an incredible hitter.

No doubt.
