Louisville = Loss (Home or Away) Syracuse = Win @ Cincy = Loss @ UConn = Win Pittsburgh = Win @ West Virginia = Loss @ South Florida = Loss Rutgers = Win What is that 4-4? My analysis would be Louisville and West Virginia are probably losses...Syracuse and UConn should be wins....with Cincy, Pitt, Rutgers and South Florida as swing games. Of those four, I picked losses for road games and wins for home games. Pretty simple. I think a UK vs. West Virginia game would be very entertaining if UK's offense plays like it did last year...I'd envision it similar to the U of L/West Virginia game. I don't think UK would win, but I think they could score a lot of points against that defense.
July 9, 200719 yr I see them finishing behind WVU and Louisville. With a chance to steal a win against Louisville. I think they'd stand a much better chance of stealing a win against WVU. Their defense isn't very good, and if UK's offense got hot and the Mountaineers made some mistakes and turnovers, then I could see UK outscoring them in a shootout. Not likely, but more likely than a win against U of L, IMO.
July 9, 200719 yr South Florida beat West Virginia on the road. They have an extremely underrated defense, it is as quick as anyone in college football. They did have a good road win in Morgantown last year, you are right about that. :thumb:

UK would most likely never stop them because... well, they do not stop anyone, so that is about their only chance (and WVU has not shown itself as dominating on the defensive end).

UK would most likely never stop them because... well, they do not stop anyone, so that is about their only chance (and WVU has not shown itself as dominating on the defensive end). Exactly...plus, UK really struggles against teams that can run the ball effectively, so it's hard to envision them stopping the Mountaineers, even on a good day. Like I said, our best chance would be to get the offense rolling and hope the Mountaineers have an off day with mistakes and fumbles and the like. Again, I'm not touting a UK victory over WVU. This all came about because I was trying to argue that they'd be more likely to beat them than U of L. U of L is a complete team....high powered offense, solid defense...WVU is all offense and suspect defense...just like UK in that sense, so we'd have a better chance, IMO.

July 10, 200719 yr South Florida beat West Virginia on the road. They have an extremely underrated defense, it is as quick as anyone in college football. Rutgers lacks a star QB but in all other phases of the game they are very good. They are the type of team that is simply "hard to beat", they may not blow other teams out of the water, ut they won't lose much. Rutgers is 28-32 over the last 5 seasons, and 40-75 over the last 10 seasons. Last year was the only season that the lost fewer than 5 games since 1992. They had an exceptional year last season, but I think it is a little premature to act like their is no doubt that they will be able to sustain that level of play. Perhaps I'm wrong but IMO they still have something to prove at this point.
