What Will You Do When You Retire?

My dad was talking about things he wants to do when he retires, and I thought it would make for a good discussion on here, so....

 

What do you want to do once you hit retirement?

I need to get a real job before I can even think about worrying about retirement, lol.

I want to be able to sit on my front porch everyday. Simple as that. And have a dog...:thumb:

Get a lawn chair weighted down at the feet. Put it in the Snake River. Sit in chair with water running over me. Read magazine. Drink something with rum in it. Look at the Grand Teton mountains. Watch the grandchildren play ball on the banks of the river. Call to check on my stocks. Call Mrs. Hearsay to check on status of dinner. Go to bed early. Wake up next morning. Repeat.

If things go well I don't think I'll ever retire...

Travel more, see different cities. Spend time with my children and eventual, grandchildren. Play more golf.

 

Write a book on Baseball. Own my own private business and volunteer more, for several organizations.

The same thing my Dad does. A little golf, a little fishing & spend time with the wife, kids & grandkids.

 

And the best part of it all is that you get to say cool things like "Everyday is Saturday".

I can't imagine ever retiring. I love my work. I love working. The only thing I would like to do is help people start new businesses, when I get to where I can do so.
