saint4
Depends on what the Reds would package in with Griffey. If the Reds packaged Bailey, then the Braves may trade Saltalamachia or Yunel Escobar, Braves have a mighty farm system, I see what your saying though. If the Reds trade Bailey this year, I will start a petition for the fans to but the team if everyone chiped in, and I would be GM. In other words, this will never happen. cshs81
He has said over and over he has zero desire to be a DH... Hell, he didn't even want to go to RF.
cshs81
The list of potential FA pitchers is scary. I don't see getting any solid return on hardly any of them.
gametime
The list of potential FA pitchers is scary. I don't see getting any solid return on hardly any of them. And the ones that produce a solid return are going to get PAID...

gametime
Who on that list would you even consider? I can't see any. They won't be worth what they get paid but I'd take Buehrle, Garcia or Jennings...
sportsfan41
I hope Griffey doesn't leave.
letabrotherspeak
I'm really postive that Conine and Hatteberg won't be platooning at first in 2009. The Yankees are supposedly interested in Hatteberg to play first base...they are struggling right now ans just called a minor leaguer up to play first base. Other than the last 3 games the Yankee offense has been fine. It's pitching they need.
Pat Dad
Interesting read. It's about, potential, trades of Griffey and Dunn. Nothing definite, just what could happen. Cincy Dunn to the Yanks to play 1st? :creepy:
