Griffey sells tickets. You trade Griffey, and alot of fans will stop coming to games. It would be a dumb move for the Reds.

 

I think people would be VERY happy paying top dollar to see the finest catching rotation in baseball. :thumb:

Votto is one of the Reds bigger prospects.

 

He is currently hitting 310, 9 HR, 41 RBI in Louisville. Just no place to put him on the roster right now with Conine and Hatteberg doing pretty good jobs. Hopefully a spot will be open for him next year.

 

I always thought Hatteberg was a catcher? Is he just so banged up that they couldn't make him a back-up catcher and either trade or release Moeller and Valentin? That would allow Conine to start, and Votto to work his way into the everyday line-up.

Krivsky would not trade Griffey or Dunn to a NL Central team. If Griffey is traded it will be to the Braves IMO. Dunn will be headed out west

I'd be surprised to see the Cubs give up a good young pitcher for an old injury prone outfielder on the back end of his carear. I'd like to have him in RT field but I'd be surprise to see it happen

Depends on what the Reds would package in with Griffey. If the Reds packaged Bailey, then the Braves may trade Saltalamachia or Yunel Escobar, Braves have a mighty farm system, I see what your saying though.
