How are the Reds doing attendance wise? Although the milestone might not be quite what it once was, as Junior continues to close in on 600, it might put some butts in the seats. Maybe they don't need that I'm not sure.

Yup. Jones' contract is up this year, right???

Correct.

. If the Reds packaged Bailey,

If the Reds trade Griffey I believe they trade Dunn too. My rational is the OF next year will be Votto, Bruce, Hamiliton. The infield remains the same. It would be very similiar to the Florida youth movement they made last year. Freel would be your back-up everything and you'd have money to burn in the FA market if you were in a race. With the pitching help these 2 players would bring in return would the Reds be worse? I can't imagine them being much worse and the payroll would be 25 million dollars less.

He said Bailey, not Hamiliton.....

Ouch. :D

He said Bailey, not Hamiliton.....

I'd give away Josh Hamilton for a bag of baseballs before I'd trade Homer Bailey for anything.

I think people would be VERY happy paying top dollar to see the finest catching rotation in baseball. :thumb:

   Absolutely a classic!

The Braves have been looking into adding Griffey, so who knows.

So have the Yankees, who knows??

Depends on what the Reds would package in with Griffey. If the Reds packaged Bailey, then the Braves may trade Saltalamachia or Yunel Escobar, Braves have a mighty farm system, I see what your saying though.

I realize and aknowledge that the Braves have great farm system, but package Bailey?? ..............................Bartender, may I have whatever he is drinking please?

Griffey has a no-trade clause. His career is winding down, no way does he accept a trade to a team that has no chance of winning a ring (the Cubs). Atlanta and Boston are the two most likely destinations for Griffey IMO.

Griffey has a no-trade clause.
He does not have a no trade clause in his contract. He is 10/5 guy. 10 years of service, 5 with the same team. That's part of the CBA.
