June 21, 200719 yr If the Reds trade Griffey I believe they trade Dunn too. My rational is the OF next year will be Votto, Bruce, Hamiliton. The infield remains the same. It would be very similiar to the Florida youth movement they made last year. Freel would be your back-up everything and you'd have money to burn in the FA market if you were in a race. With the pitching help these 2 players would bring in return would the Reds be worse? I can't imagine them being much worse and the payroll would be 25 million dollars less.

June 21, 200719 yr Griffey has a no-trade clause. His career is winding down, no way does he accept a trade to a team that has no chance of winning a ring (the Cubs). Atlanta and Boston are the two most likely destinations for Griffey IMO.
June 21, 200719 yr Griffey has a no-trade clause. He does not have a no trade clause in his contract. He is 10/5 guy. 10 years of service, 5 with the same team. That's part of the CBA.
