June 20, 200719 yr Who in their right minds would want to watch UK/UofL over either of those matchups? That UT/UF game is looking pretty interesting to me. However, I do not claim to be in my right mind though.
June 20, 200719 yr Author And if Barnhardt and Brooks didn't want to play UL, UK wouldn't be playing UL would they? Not that simple. If UK dropped out the series after losing seven out of the last eight (and being blown out in most of those) UK fans would riot after listening to UofL fans RIDE THEM OUT. Imagine what RP and 2 would be saying if UK cancelled the series?
June 20, 200719 yr Read closely ... if the game isn't televised live anywhere, there is no way a sports bar is going to be able to bring in a live telecast of it. Besides, why should Louisville fans have to resort to that when the game's been easily accessible on national TV for several years? Aww those poor Louisville fans...
June 20, 200719 yr Aww those poor Louisville fans... :lol:Actually, it applies to Kentucky fans, too. I happen to be of both persuasions, and frankly, I would like to be able to watch the freakin' game.
June 20, 200719 yr Actually, it applies to Kentucky fans, too. I happen to be of both persuasions, and frankly, I would like to be able to watch the freakin' game. Does that make you bi-fan-ual?
June 20, 200719 yr Does that make you bi-fan-ual?For some reason, I'm reluctant to answer that ...
June 20, 200719 yr For some reason, I'm reluctant to answer that ... Aren't you secure in your fanhood?

June 20, 200719 yr Who cares they don't wanna get beat on National TV against a rival. They have a lot other bigger games to the National audience than UL.
June 20, 200719 yr Who cares they don't wanna get beat on National TV against a rival. They have a lot other bigger games to the National audience than UL. Some people are taking this a little too serious. :thumb:
June 20, 200719 yr Who cares they don't wanna get beat on National TV against a rival. They have a lot other bigger games to the National audience than UL. Are you saying UK will play more games on NATIONAL TV than UL???
June 20, 200719 yr But it's not a big game. If it were a rivalry game or something like that, maybe so, but when the only people who consider it a rivalry are the two schools involved, it's not much a rivalry IMO.This years matchup has two of the highest rated QB's and both teams are coming off a bowl win. It has more national implication than it has in the past.
June 20, 200719 yr Are you saying UK will play more games on NATIONAL TV than UL??? No not at all I don't know where you got that. I mean they have a lot of other games that would appeal to the National audience more than their game with UL. Just because it is a big deal around here doesn't mean anyone else cares about it. To everyone one outisde of the Commonwealth this game will be a snoozer and a blow out.

UK will not play a single game all year the national audience will care about. And if they keep running from national attention it will stay that way...
