June 20, 200719 yr Imo beating a top SEC team like those three mentioned would be very big if it were on t.v. - a big win on national t.v. over a strong SEC opponet may just be bigger than a non conference game over an in state rival. Yes, the U.L. game is big to the people in this state and I certainly am ticked off about the no t.v. but I think that a major SEC win might impress potential recruits for the furure more. JMO I would think that beating a nationally-ranked team that won a BCS bowl game last season (or even a competitive showing) would impress recruits, too.
June 20, 200719 yr Yeah, that sentiment pretty much sums up UK football … I agree....BTW, I'm not a UK football fan.
June 20, 200719 yr How about putting it on the Big Blue Network? In Louisville that would be channel 70 for Insight customers. The BBN showed several UK baseball games this past season. :thumb:

June 20, 200719 yr If you're speaking from a UK perspective, I would think the UF, LSU, and UT games would be bigger than UofL... Well they are all big games but everyone knows that the UK/UofL game is huge because it's an instate game and Louisville is ranked, and a national title contender, why wouldn't it be a huge game?
June 20, 200719 yr “It’s important to get as much visibility for the game as we can get, and we’re working at that,” Shenanigans (bugatti 2002)...
June 20, 200719 yr This game was in a time slot (the past few seasons at least) that had to compete with no one, so most people in the country got to watch it. Sadly, the tradition of Labor Day Eve football in KY has come to an end and now the darn game isn't even on TV? This is a mockery.....
June 20, 200719 yr So if I understan the situation correctly, UK chose to have the game moved back (I know that is a fact). But is it ESPN's call that the game will not be carried in week 3?

June 20, 200719 yr I'm sure ESPN will be showing the Northwestern/Purdue or the Illinois/Michigan State game instead if its on a Saturday afternoon. By the way, what time is kickoff for this one?
June 20, 200719 yr Author “It’s important to get as much visibility for the game as we can get, and we’re working at that,” Shenanigans (bugatti 2002)... Pretty much.

By the way, what time is kickoff for this one?Tennessee at Florida and ND at Michigan are two of the games that afternoon without TV coverage currently decided.
June 20, 200719 yr I'm sure if UK knew so many non-UK fans would be so angry and hurt by their decision, they would have reconsidered.
June 20, 200719 yr UK did what they thought would give them the best chance to win the game. Which is more important than being on TV. I'm fine with it.
