June 3, 200719 yr I know people (very close to me) that have that and things will be fine. Stress is not good. Send her our prayers and know everything will be ok. It is doable.

June 3, 200719 yr My thoughts and prayers are with both of you. I hope that she gets to come home soon. It's a difficult time for anyone to be ill and be in the hospital but it's equally difficult for love ones also.

June 3, 200719 yr I really appreciate it, she's the rock in this relationship. one of the toughest women I know of, besides my mother. She's the type that loves to be moving around, cleaning, cooking ect...one of her nurses (she's had 4 or 5, all have a first name beginning with K, three are Kim's, one Kay K), proceeded to change her linens and I could see she was jonesing, to make it herself. She said she wanted to come home and do some cleaning, I assured her I would allow the place to get a bit messy for her. I don't know if any other posters suffer from or know of one who suffers from Ulcerative Colitis but that's what she's been diagnosed with. It's going to be a lifetime deal but with medication she will hopefully be OK. I for one can't wait until she is able to come back home, I can do my 8 or so hours a day in her room but I couldn't imagine being in that thing for more than 2-3 days w/out going completely crazy. Thanks again. Neerfan - You sound like a great person, and I'm sure she will be very happy to get home. My prayer's continue for both of you.
June 4, 200719 yr Author Thanks for the prayers, looks like she'll be home tomorrow. She feels good, she had to pass the solid food test before they allowed her to exit. The people at St. E's have been great, they even gave me a meal tonight, and it was excellent. As much as I want her home, I really enjoyed spending time with her this past week, and I will also miss her very sweet roomate, 86 yr old Edna. The house is as clean as a whistle, and we will be eagerly waiting for the bills to pour in, may not be able to afford my reup for BGP.lol
