Prayer request for my wife

Featured Replies

Just thought I would ask for a bit of help from my fellow posters on BGP. My wife has been in the hospital since Tuesday, and she's way beyond itching to get her release tomorrow. I've been asking the big guy for support each night and she's improved the past few days but we need that extra push. She broke down tonight before I left, it's really getting to her. Thanks, I know the power of BGP can only help.:thumb:

I'll be saying a prayer that she gets out of there as fast as possible! I know how small that room can become. It's like living in a tin can. I also hope and pray that she returns to full health real soon.

An extended stay in the hospital is definitely mentally taxing. I will be praying for you, and your wife.

The Ram family will be praying for her quick recovery and mental strength.

Prayer's are sent that she will get to come home very soon.

I really appreciate it, she's the rock in this relationship. one of the toughest women I know of, besides my mother. She's the type that loves to be moving around, cleaning, cooking ect...one of her nurses (she's had 4 or 5, all have a first name beginning with K, three are Kim's, one Kay K), proceeded to change her linens and I could see she was jonesing, to make it herself. She said she wanted to come home and do some cleaning, I assured her I would allow the place to get a bit messy for her. I don't know if any other posters suffer from or know of one who suffers from Ulcerative Colitis but that's what she's been diagnosed with. It's going to be a lifetime deal but with medication she will hopefully be OK. I for one can't wait until she is able to come back home, I can do my 8 or so hours a day in her room but I couldn't imagine being in that thing for more than 2-3 days w/out going completely crazy. Thanks again.

Keep us updated and I'll keep her in my thoughts and prayers.:thumb:

I had a form of it for the better part of a year. I know her situation is different; but it was miserable!

The amazing thing about the whole situation is that symptoms really started last week, so she went her primary Dr., he set her up with a specialist and prescribed some meds. Her colonoscopy was scheduled for July 11th. she went to the pharmacy to get her meds but the DR failed to call the insurance co for preapproval. She gets to the pharmacy and they wanted all limbs for the meds unless he contacted the insurance so she went without. Now this was on Friday of the holiday weekend so she went Friday/Sat/Sun/Monday in horrific pain, constant trips to the restroom until finally entering the hospital. It's hard to believe that in this great country it can take months of waiting to get to a specialist unless you head to the ER.

NEERFAN - Has your wife recently (last several months) been on antibiotics for any reason?

No, she hasn't been on any meds BF. She's actually had some symptoms for about 5 years but no flareups until last weekend.
