Doesn't Frankfort have everyone coming back this year? They may have something to say about who ends up the state champion.

From what most people said last year, Frankforts biggest weakness was in the trenches. So, if you're saying they return alot of linemen, I'd look for them to be very strong. They normally have alot of very good skill players anyway. Doubt that will change this year....

Here is the Class 1A alignment:

CLASS 1A

District-1-1- Ballard Memorial, Crittenden County, Fulton City, Fulton County, Mayfield

District-1-2- Beth Haven, Bethlehem, Caverna, Holy Cross (Louisville), Kentucky Country Day

District-1-3- Beechwood, Bellevue, Bishop Brossart, Dayton, Ludlow

District-1-4- Bracken County, Eminence, Frankfort, Gallatin County, Trimble County

District-1-5- Fairview, Lexington Christian, Nicholas County, Paris, Raceland

District-1-6- Campbellsville, Clinton County, Lynn Camp, Williamsburg

District-1-7- Cumberland, Evarts, Harlan, Hazard, Jenkins, Pineville

District-1-8- Allen Central, Betsy Layne, Paintsville, Phelps, Pikeville, South Floyd

Frankfort's biggest weakness was depth. I think that has been taken care of. They will start 5 seniors on the o-line. All 5 have will have started 3 years in a roll. This spring FHS had 45 kids. They haven't had 45 kids since Nixon was in office.

Sounds like they'll be a legit contender...Good luck

Frankfort should be a favorite to make it to Louisville

Wow.. 45... I remember when I played we would have between 25 -30 show up.

I am going with Beechwood to go to louisville if not them then Frankfort.

Taking a look at what the people are saying think about the "POSSIBLE" regional finals with Beechwood and Frankfort and the winner of that game hopefully having to make the long bus ride to War Memorial Stadium to take on Mayfield in the sub-state...so you have the top three PRE-SEASON teams in one half of the state bracket. Whoever makes it to state from this side of the state should be well tested before even making it to PAPA JOHNS.

Granted the Cards lost QB Adam Shelton, but are loaded elsewhere...especially running back, O-Line, and defense is stacked...so if they can find a suitable QB the Cards will be a tough out in the playoffs for any team and should be a top contender for their 8th State Championship

I'm anxious to see the freshman RB who's supposedely so good...I've heard comparisons to Marcus Moss and Danny Kirby...If thats the case, he'll definately be special....Do you think he'll knock Trevarthan or Dumas out of there spot or play a backup role?

Beechwood and Frankfort would only meet in the semifinals, if both make it that far.

The 1A 3rd round matchups (see chart) for 2007 are

Region 1 - D1 vs D4

Region 2 - D2 vs D3

Region 3 - D5 vs D8

Region 4 - D6 vs D7

Which means Frankfort would likely play Mayfield for the Region 1 crown and Beechwood would get probably Lou Holy Cross for the Region 2 title.

That means either Mayfield or Frankfort will get knocked out in the final 8, right..

Beechwood by far is the class of A..........

I agree with you. I think that Beechwood should dominate and it will a huge upset if they do not win state.

What does a QB matter to the cards? Don't they only throw it only every decade or so? LOL
