What school is Rodney Haddix from? Senior?

 

He would've been a senior at Scott County this past season, but was ruled ineligible last summer because of confusion over his time in middle school. Super-duper athlete, and unfortunately forgotten by most of the state. Imagine how tough SC would've been with him!

I know most these guy I put on my squad may not even get an invite, give me this team aginst whoo ever they put on the squad and I brt they would be much stronger.

IMO: If he didn't play for a high school team this year, he shouldn't have been invited to try out.

Will Vanhoose be healthy enough to play? and would he chance the knee so quickly?

He was not invited to try outs. You must be a graduating senior in good standing with at least two years of high school basketball in the state of KY.

The only 10th region boys to be invited was Preston Knowles, and Tristian Jones of GRC and Kane Belcher, Pendleton Co.

Tristian had to decline as he had to have wrist surgery again Tuesday.

Okay based on this list, just for fun I am going to give my prediction of the team.

Haddix shouldn't get to try out ... he didn't play in Kentucky this season. If he gets a tryout, why didn't Rajon Rondo get one?

I guess its a tough call. The difference is he is enrolled in a Kentucky high school. Also he did not have a choice in the matter, while Rondo just left. On one hand you feel bad for the kid, who had his senior season taken away from him because of something he did as an 8th grader. It would be neat to see him get this opportunity. On the other hand he would be knocking another deserving player out of getting to play in the game as well.

I've heard the KABC has taken over the selection process. It is no longer up to the people from the Lion's Eye Foundation to choose the team. Pretty reliable source. I'm sure there will still be politics involved, but maybe some of the ignorance will be corrected.

 

So, the boys team is chosen differently than the girls team? Just curious! The girls are chosen by the 16 region POY, 10 more by state wide coaches, 10 more by the media and the last 4 spots by the team coaches.

That is how the tryout list is put together. Selecting the team from that is a different matter entirely.
