J'town — I would figure him to be a good bet to make it.

I havent seen him play. Obviously him and Brooks have great chances to make it based on a need for size along with their abilities.

Did you not watch any of last year's Sweet 16? Coleman was outstanding during J'town's run to the title.

I got to watch him play 1 game, the quarterfinal game. I was not able to go to the Saturday games last season.

I am predicting a team consisting of atleast:

Pettigrew

Walls

Knowles

Proffit

Brooks

Austin Hill

TwannyBeckham

Jaron Jones

Jeremy Anderson

After that I believe it gets a little more shaky for the last few spots.

Where is the size at on this roster? Great guards, but you got to feed the post.

The all-star teams selection is all political, some of the best players never make the team anyway.

I've heard the KABC has taken over the selection process. It is no longer up to the people from the Lion's Eye Foundation to choose the team. Pretty reliable source. I'm sure there will still be politics involved, but maybe some of the ignorance will be corrected.

That would be an improvement ...

Brooks and Coleman will be on the team IMO. Those 2 are the 2 best big men I know of in the state.

Second year for the coaches of the year from each region to run the try outs. The whole state gets a qualified voice. They run the try outs and work the group of 40 candidates down to 16 at the end of the second day. Last session is between the Head Coach, Game Director from the Foundation and the Game Chairman. Seems like a great improvement from the old days. Coach has input on the style of team they would like to put on the court.

I understand Rodney Haddix has been invited to try out. He would be a great selection and add a great deal to the team. He is probally a top 3 player in the state although he is just coming off a foot injury

OK if I could pick my team of Kentucky all star seniors. This would be my team:

Coach:Tim Riley-Warren Central

PG-Preston Knowles

PG-Justin Hicks-Hazard

PG-Austin Hill-Holmes

SG-Jerrell Mayo-Russelville

SG-Jeremy Anderson-Warren Central

SF-Jon Vanhoose-Russell

SF-Jordan Hammonds-South Laurel

SF-Matt Walls-Scott Co.

PF-Stephan Pettigrew-ETown

PF-Twaney Beckman-Ballard

C-Jeff Brooks-Doss

C-Thomas Coleman-JTown

C-Keith Price-Casey County

The players in BOLD will be my starters

I know most these guy I put on my squad may not even get an invite, give me this team aginst whoo ever they put on the squad and I brt they would be much stronger.

That team was made up of 13 players, I believe thats how many player are chosen for this All Star t/outs.

What school is Rodney Haddix from? Senior?
