A new manager is hired, Reds play 10 games over 500 the rest of the year, the new manager is seen as the proper fix, he is signed to an extension and the Reds go back to playing 10-15 games under 500 next year. The frustrating part for me is that if they end up playing well the rest of the year, where was the effort when Narron was there. Narron may have cost the team some games here and there, but he was fired for lack of performance on the field. NOW they are going to start playing well, have never understood that as long as I have been a sports fan. Some teams need a new voice in the clubhouse, just a change or whatever it may be. I get that, BUT I don't get the same players all of sudden doing things they weren't doing just a week before. Doesn't really matter, college football starts soon and we can all move on to other things.

I would also say that maybe Narron had "quit" on the team and the players took that attitude as well. I don't know, although I believed a change was needed there is no way that everything was Narron's fault.

The Reds have looked like world beaters. I think we all know by now they're not. Management got hoodwinked by last years team, lets hope it doesn't happen again!

The players didn't want to play for Narron IMO.....Who would want to play for a manager that made as many boneheaded decisions as that guy?

He's already shown he can do that with ease. Give him the extra rest and keep him on the big league club.
