I didn't think you were a fan of the whole interim manager to full fledge manager thing. There is absolutely no reason what so ever that this guy should get the job. If Krivsky or anyone else for that matter thinks he's the best choice.....well, I guess we can plan on another last place finish next year as well.

I'm just less than optimistic because it didn't work with Narron or Miley. Krivsky is the one that pushed hard for this guy to fill in, so why is it a surprise and "fireable" offense when you hear that's his guy. His neck is on the line either way, and I'd expect him to want to have a say in who is under him...

Bob extended Jerry and Wayne after the hot start last year. It was done on the same day. Are you saying that Bob went to extend Wayne and Wayne demanded Jerry get the same? Wouldn't logic tell you that BP, Hatte, Ross and Arroyo had more to do with management seeking to keep both? If that's the stance you want to take Bob should fire Bob.

As clueless as the Reds come across half the time and seemingly with no "plan". I can't see them trading their best player to a team in their own division. Goodness knows, we have seen stranger things happen with this team though. :lol:

1. Petey Mack won't be the manager in 2008 if the Reds win their next 50 games. Not happening. I don't care who supports who and why...not happening.

 

2. Nice way to finish the 1st half. However, the only difference between "this" Reds' team and Narron's was the starters pitched well. Maybe a subtle move with a pitcher here or there, but you had Coffey and Weathers blow games late that the offense salvaged, you had about the same amount of offense....yet you got great starting pitching.

 

3. When the Reds go 3-8 coming out of the break this era of good feelings will slither off again. I hope I'm wrong, but I'll be shocked if this upcoming 11 game roadie looks different than the ones earlier. Hopefully the Redlegs are catching the Mets at the right time as their picthing, minus Maine, has been awful.
