ESPN reported this morning that Bailey was sent to the minors.

So that he could continue to pitch on his regular day.

What's funny about that is I heard it yesterday and it made sense to keep him sharp.

Fast forward to this morning and I am VERY tired, I see the scroll at the bottom of the screen mentioning Homer being sent down. Took me about 10 minutes to figure out why.

I think I'm one of only about 4 people on here that love Dunn's sense or humor so this is for the other 3, I guess.

When asked what he's going to do over the break he said, "I'm going to do some mowing."

Well, you knew this was coming. I just heard some blowhard calling into the 1530 saying that Dunn didn't care enough about making the all-star team and he based this on the "mowing" comment.

Classic.

What do you expect from that group? Sounds par for the course.

Was just about to post this. What a moron...

'We should be offended'...

There was also a caller that went to the first game after Narron was fired to show his support for Narron NOT being there...

The 'knowledgeable' baseball 'fans' in our city...

He put up All Star worthy numbers, wasn't selected, moved on. Where is the shame in that? Should he be a jerk and put down Aaron Rowand in the press to make his point? Yeah, that'd be awesome.

Although he should've said what he'll REALLY be doing over the break...fishing...

Ol' boy probably has some acreage...and a killer tractor. He may really be mowing.

He did say "fishing" after a long pause after the "mowing" comment.

BTW, is there any player in MLB that has more space between the bottom of his number on his back and the waistline?

Ahhhh … what a refreshing first half to the season this was!

I truly believe that GT is the one who calls in and makes the "ignorant" Reds fan comments like the Dunn doesn't care enough about not making the all star team. He does it to spur on his Cincy sports fan mentality theorum and to give us good fodder here. He's a team player that GT.:D

Even though I don't agree with everyone ripping on him for the mowing comment, I think it goes back to last year.

The article that was in the Dayton paper where Dunn went golfing instead of taking extra batting practice or working on his game. He made some flippant remarks towards working hard, etc, etc.

I do agree with what's been said though, people are just looking for ANYTHING to jump on him. I'm not his biggest fan, but his comment was all in good fun and considering that he has played just about every day the first half of the year, I think he has earned some time off to relax.
