I guess if Indiana didn't border KY, and actually had a decent basketball team in the past 20 years somebody would probably care, maybe.

I have heard so much about media exposure and style of play on here. Tradition doesn't play a part??? Then I guess UCLA shouldn't be in the final 4...how much media attention do you get in the east as a west coast team! And how many kids out there come to east coast teams to get that attention! So yeah the right coach can sell the tradition and get the recruit.Something that UCLA has done well the last few years!

It all comes down to the right coach recruiting the right kid and selling both his coaching abilities and the program. In my opinion those were Tubby's only shortcomings!

Basically Bill Rafferty coached Seton Hall when they were dong well to win 5-10 games a season :sssh: , not a real knowledgable person on winning programs . Rafferty should stick to "man to man" and "send it in" or "left loungerie on the floor" and try not top comment on winning programs since he has so little experience with that type of thing.:sleep: :irked:

 

Of course, completely discounting the 30 some-odd years he's been an announcer and close observer of the game. I guess he had his eyes and ears closed that whole time. A statement like that is as groundless as saying "he doesn't know, because he didn't play." Hogwash.

Mexitucky. No NBA scouts are turning on WKYT and watching Randolph, so TV is not that big of a concern.

Any sports broadcaster that thinks KY isn't a top college basketball loses all credibility with me.

UNC has 7 Final Fours and 2 titles in the past twenty years. But like I said in another thread, in the past 25 years or so, UK has to be considered elite. In the past 10? I'm not sure. There are 9 teams with multiple final fours since 1998:

 

UNC

Duke

Maryland

Connecticut

Michigan St.

UCLA

tO$U

Florida

Kansas

 

This isn't bashing. Louisville doesn't deserve to be considered elite in the past 10 years, either.
