Well how did we end up talking about the KY fanbase. IU hasn't had any tradition in the past 15 years. And I certainly hope we get a better quality coach that Sampson, or we won't have any tradition left either.

And that takes us back to where it started again. "No tradition" IU has been in a Title game in that blank Final Four period for UK. It isn't a fluke if you win 5 in a row and make it to the last day of the season. It's a very simple argument...

Very simple indeed. In the past 15 years, KY has 2 national championships, 4 final fours, and IU has a good swift kick in the hind end on their way out the door. I hope that their miracle run in 02 doesn't give them tradition. Look out for George Mason. :laugh:

The bottom line is that IU has tradition AND recent success. Not to mention a good bench coach and a VERY good recruiter.

They did it while current recruits were old enough to go to the buffet without a chaperone. That's recent.

 

Last time UK went to the Final Four, current recruits were in the third grade.
