I don't want to take anything away from IU's tradition because there aren't many programs with as much but let's get real. Other then their amazing run in 02 they have done nothing in near 20 years.

 

Their future definitely looks bright though.

If not for tradition, why are kids coming to Kentucky ? Kentucky is atleast on many of the top high school athletes lists. Why ? Is it the weather ? The nice beaches in lexington ? All of the huge night clubs the city has to offer ? Lets be honest, the only reason out of state kids are coming to Kentucky is because of tradition.

Did anyone notice NO George Mason's this year? Did anyone notice NC, UCLA, and OSU in the Final 4? That's 4 high profile programs (that are in it just about every year). The only thing that changed at KY was the coach and the expectations he had.

In all fairness he came within a nat's hair of going in 05, probably would have gone in 03 had Bogans not hurt his ankle.

You have got to be kidding me. north Carolina wasn't in the final four this year buddy and neither were they last year. And Ohio State isn't in it year in and year out, they have had two good years with Matta and before that they CHEATED to get their final four in 1999 with O'Brian...

No...they beat a loaded UConn team..and they had some nice leadership on that team.
