Kansas 88 Kentucky 76

This will all work out in time. Kansas is great but the last two years bowed out in the first round; once to Bucknell. Their basketball life went on and without Roy. UK will be back in the near future; we always have. We have had worse years in our basketball history and championships followed within a few years later. Right now things seem bleak but as sure as the sun will cross the sky UK will rise up once again to strike fear into the basketball world. It is simply an historical certainty. Watch and see.

KU was just to much and they pulled away in the second half as I thought. On to next season. Get our 2 big recruits and keep Morris and all is well. Those are a big IF though. It should be an intresting few months.

Well my theory remains, that nobody notices when Bradley does do well at the point, but do notice when he does bad..Nobody mentioned yet that even though we lost Bradley had NINE ASSISTS in todays game, to really help the argument that I been saying the last 2 months that Bradley should have been at point, and Jasper on the bench. I know the season is over with, but people really need to take a look at how Bradley played at point at the end of the year. He did alot better than earlier in the year, and if Lucas doesn't come. We would most likely be better off with Bradley at the point next year over Jasper, and with Meeks in the lineup...

I wonder what will happen with "No Show" Joe. I hope he goes in the Draft an the Lakers pick him and let him be a manager/towel boy. :madman:

You know what it really wouldn't surprise me if he tried to go Pro, I could see him doing something like that...

That has been the "word on the street". I'm not sure how much I believe it though.

Anyone else hear the UK fans had a small showing in Chicago? They had a base but it wasn't the normal size. I guess they knew we were going to lose this weekend at some point. Not worth 2.40 a gallon to watch that.

ESPN:

Kansas rips Kentucky

top-seeded Kansas romped past Kentucky

This rout was practically a repeat of last year's meeting between the teams in Lawrence, Kan.

WHAT?! Umm.. last year UK lost by 27, not 12

Kansas likes to get out and run, but Kentucky slowed the Jayhawks down enough in the first half to keep it relatively close.

That changed in a hurry in the second half.

And just like last year, the Jayhawks steamrolled Kentucky with Morris on the bench.

It was showtime after that, as the Jayhawks put their considerable skills on display with a dizzying array of fast breaks, slick passes and shots that even Jordan might envy.

I don't consider a 1 seed beating an 8 by 12 to be romping or steamrolling, but maybe thats just me.

As I said earlier in the year, UK needs people who can shoot the ball well.

Just 2 pages on the final game of the season? Wow. Just wow.

I think most reasonable people gave up hope they would win more than 1 game in the tourney after the MSU game. Plus what can you say that hasnt been said about this team--ad nauseum.

Well apparently several people disagree with you....

I think Tubby is a good man, who has seen his prime and is well into his declining days as a coach. He needs to step down before things get even worse.

Let's face it. The only consistent quality shooting team he has had is the one he inherited from Pitino the first year he took over. The best white boys don't want to come play for him and the best black boys don't either. His brand of controlled half court offense without emphasis on the three pointer is not attractive. The top players in the nation don't want to play a couple of minutes and get taken out with the "Tubby glare" because they missed a three point shot.

If you don't have the quality horses you definitely can't compete at the top level of college ball. Tubby has clearly lost out on the recruiting and he's picking up the second choices. The days of winning without having the best players on your team are history.

With Bradley and Crawford no-shows, adding into Meeks struggling and Morris committing the stupidest foul in the world (has two fouls, gets beat on a pick and roll and he tries to catch up by swatting the shot from behind EARLY in the 2nd half), UK had no chance.

Good bye Thomas, Perry, and Woo. Wish you the best.

Can't wait to replace them with players that are actually athletic!!!

Don't count on it. :D

UK brought it to a respectable margin late, but the game was never in doubt in the second half. It was 76-56 at one point. Anyone who watched that game knows that the final margin could have been much worse, and that it wasn't as close as the 12 point margin suggested.
