March 19, 200719 yr Kansas was just too athletic for the Cats today. When Morris picked up his third foul two minutes into the second half, the Jayhawks went on a run to basically end any upset hopes. I think Meeks will be an All-SEC player next year, and hopefully Morris comes back. I wish Perry, Thomas, and Obrzut good luck in whatever they do the rest of their lives, and now it is on to the Reds and UK baseball.

They barely missed on those two players and they are a good not great team. It is a very fine line. I said it earlier. Some UK fans are irrational when it comes to their expectations and act like a bunch of spoiled brats with a sense of entitlement that rivals Paris Hilton.

The thing is what is going to have to change to get these recruits? I mean what is Tubby going to have to do? We have been close to landing the big ones but havent, and the track record of Rondy, Morris, and Crawford since comming inst helping. I think Patterson will be another close miss. I just hope we can start landing the ones we are close to, it would defintley change the Uk program.

UNC had an immediate need after losing so many seniors. Tubby does need to land some top talent soon. IMO Patterson is not the answer. UK needs an scoring option from the four spot. Patterson strongsuits are defense and rebounding. He is not a scorer. If UK does get Patterson I think he will be more of a roll player. A stronger version of Perry Stevenson.

We could all if and but things...IF Shaun Livingston had gone ahead to Duke (his career would likely still be ok), and Luol hadn't left...Duke would be way up there also...nothing can be done about dreams that didn't happen.
March 19, 200719 yr The lack of guard play is what really hurt UK this game. Meeks was 3-14, Bradley 1-6, and Crawford 4-12. 8-32 just won't get it done. As I said earlier in the year, UK needs people who can shoot the ball well.

Nope nothing we can do about it. If UK fans would be rational though they would see that the biggest liability to the UK program right now it is not Tubby Smith. It is the negativity brought about by the attitude of some who claim to support the program.

He could also do alot better he has potential. I can't say that about his shooting touch but he could be a stand out defender and rebounder. He is a tremendous athlete.
March 19, 200719 yr Deep down, we all know that the odds are that Morris is gone and Carter can't fill his sneakers, Patterson's heart is with the Gators and we will have spent so much time watching and pleading for Patterson that we will end up taking about anyone around 6'-8"that will sign. AND that's not even taking the guys who decide to leave and look for greener pastures somewhere else into the equation. IMO, if you did'nt like this season, maybe next season will be one to just concentrate on the "Honey Do" list and ignore college basketball. The cupboard could be kind of bare in Lexington. THAT is a scary feeling. I hope I'm wrong, but next season dosen't seem so bright..... A load of towels and loading the dishwasher was a heckuva lot more exciting today than watching this team!!! It has to get better!!! I hope!!
