I think this is the problem with UK now, a lot of the players are to one dimensional: good height for a guard but won't shoot from outside, great jumper and shot blocker and can't shoot outside, too short for the 4 position, and so on. There really isn't a good position for Jasper if he won't shoot when he's open, offensively it's like playing 4 against 5.:irked:

With his offensive prowess as it is, the 4 or 5 position is about what he is suited for.:eek:

UK needs to be able to make more shots. All those missed shots lead to Kansas running down the court with it.

Well my theory remains, that nobody notices when Bradley does do well at the point, but do notice when he does bad..Nobody mentioned yet that even though we lost Bradley had NINE ASSISTS in todays game, to really help the argument that I been saying the last 2 months that Bradley should have been at point, and Jasper on the bench. I know the season is over with, but people really need to take a look at how Bradley played at point at the end of the year. He did alot better than earlier in the year, and if Lucas doesn't come. We would most likely be better off with Bradley at the point next year over Jasper, and with Meeks in the lineup...

Yeah true, but people all year said they didn't like him at point because he was a shoot first pg. Well he only took 6 shots while running the point most of the game, and had 9 assists. So he did what people wanted him to do, even though that is not what helps the team. Bradley needs to actually take more than just 6 shots in a game, and he can do that while still being are best option at pg like he was this year...

Bottom line is Kentucky needs better shooters. Who is the last really good shooter we had who could absolutely fill it up. Have we had one since Tony Delk? When Kentucky makes shots , they rarely lose. But they rarely make shots. For you guys that keep up with these recruits, does the Lucas kid shoot the ball really well?

UK brought it to a respectable margin late, but the game was never in doubt in the second half. It was 76-56 at one point. Anyone who watched that game knows that the final margin could have been much worse, and that it wasn't as close as the 12 point margin suggested.

 

It was also a 3 point game at one point during the second half. Again.. it wasn't a barn burner, but it wasn't a blowout like the writer tried to make it seem.

UK lost. The season is over. They played better than people thought they would. 12 points or 1, they lost. Good luck next season. If you don't bring in atleast one of those recruits, it will be worse next season.

I think the point most people are trying to make is that Kansas cranked it up and extended the lead up to 20 fairly easy...to UK's credit, they kept scrapping and kept the margin respectable, but it seemed pretty obvious to me that KU could have extended that margin further if they'd kept their intensity level up. They chose to put it on cruise control when they put the game away. It wasn't as bad as last year for sure, but once the second half got going, Kansas was pretty dominant.
