Kind of ironic that Highlands played Boyle Co. when their very best was out and now they will play Scott Co. who will be without their wizard who makes that Cardinals WingT operate with pure precision. Scott CO’s D has been almost non-existent and they largely rely on just outscoring their opponents. I don’t see them able to keep up with the Bluebirds without Ellison.

Ha! I was wondering if anyone would take notice of that. I figured I'd make a "throwback" helmet matchup for the thread, even though they've both basically held on to the same helmet since they played one another the first time in 2012. I believe that was Highlands' helmet decal from 1981-1987. Then I found an old 1975 Scott County yearbook online, so that was their logo in the 1974 football season....it's an old Arizona Cardinals logo.

If anyone is an expert on the Scott County livestream- it looks like the only option is a 12-month pass for $129. I'm guessing this is a glitch, but regardless, a 1 game pass does not seem available for tomorrow. If I can't figure it out, there's no way my 80-year-old parents will.😆

I’ve always wanted Highlands to do a throwback helmet with this wing logo for a game just to see what it looked like live. Maybe do a home opener with it and then go back to the regular logo for the rest of the season.

No definitive word on the QB situation, I’m still 55% Emongo at QB, 45% JV QB takes control.

Before last season, Emongo was approached with the idea of being the starting QB and that was a fairly short lived idea as Ellison developed well after his frosh season.

I would say knowing the way McKee operates there’s probably 6-10 plays at least designed for a situation they’re in right now. They’ll have an edge on Highlands if they take that route, as these plays have been practiced at least a few times throughout the last few seasons.

McKee may also decide to run out the JV QB for tonight up until Pulaski then switch to the Emongo plan. A lot of interesting factors weighing in.
