If you don’t agree that’s fine but saying they did a great job when this was their most penalized game of the year and the head coach got a 15 yard penalty on 4 & inches?

Birds need to clean up some mistakes in all facets if they want to achieve what most expect them to be able to do.

How many 15 yard penalties did Birds have tonight?

Curious because that has been a reoccurring theme during the Sphire regime.

I do have an update on streaming…happy to say a Highlands student will be going to call the game tonight. Bluebirdsradio.com should have the game for 100% free tonight.

    Looks like there's a pay-to-play broadcast on Scott County's Hudl page: https://fan.hudl.com/usa/ky/georgetown/organization/6282/scott-county-high-school/team/16543/boys-varsity-football/schedule?dat

  • How bout that Highlands helmet logo! That right there would intimidate any team right.

If you think officiating was one sided I’m not sure what to say. You saw what SC deals with week after week at home! We played our brand of football if we should be “embarrassed” then I guess you should too. Chippy on both sides, bad calls for both sides. Sums up every big SC home game in the last 5 or so years minimum.

If you deal with that every week it’s a shock SC isn’t undefeated. That has to be the most bizarre game I’ve ever seen.

I mean, how can you call for a measurement AFTER you move the chains.

Well, it wasn’t a first down in the first place so I’m not sure why they moved the chains. The crew was pretty awful to both sides tonight typically it’s more towards us but they spread the love this time.

It was the defensive line Coach after Highlands was awarded a first down, they moved the chains, and then decided to bring the chains back to measure. I have never seen anything like it ever.

I think two, maybe three? Offsetting once or twice on some scuffles.. Plus the one on Sphire before 4th & inches

The real issue was false starts. I was watching the stream but couldn’t figure out what was happening with those? Seemed like illegal motion or something?

A couple holding calls brought back a 50 yd run by Kremer and another long play early in the game

It’s always the keyboard warriors that have never coached a day in their lives that have something to say.

Both teams had an insane amount of false starts. I think this crew had an indicator they were looking for and called it an every time. We surely got as many false starts tonight as we have all season. Terrible game from this crew unfortunately.

Wasn’t on Sphire.

SC kept simulating the snap count. Officials wouldn’t call it at first, but finally did and it stopped.

Okay so still sloppy, undisciplined play from us like its been since Sphire has been here. You'd think they would get a handle on that in year 6.

Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up.

Laughable, Ray!

So who is next for the BIRDS?

Host Boyd County in first round of playoffs.

34-13 Birds vs Scott Co and all of Georgetown! Great night for these Birds who battled through adversity and everyone who is NOT a Keyboard Commando!

No mention of the botched call by refs who signaled first down for Highlands, then moved the chains, and then decided to move chains back and measure. I mean pure comedy! And Scott Cty press box trolling the refs with that song. Whole stadium was signing it. Loved it. Very entertaining!

I’m guessing this officiating group will get a call to the principals office. Quite embarrassing! Head official especially.
